A couple of new additions to the trunk area...

Lloyd's mat with "GT" embroidery, and a small ROLA organizer, which really helps keep things from rolling around. I think that they look like they belong there....thoughts?

Looks great. Trunk mats really look good. I added a weather tech mat to my car last week.

Pick your poison.

Thanks --- yes, I think it looks LOTS better than the gray mouse fur floor that is the stock finish.

Agreed looks terrible. Just another thing Ford saved money on to put into the powertrain.

Well, yours IS waterproof. You could easily sell yours if you want the Lloyd's mat....they do a great job of fitting the mat all the way around, I think.

I understand that. I think yours is better looking. And no it's staying, matches the weather tech in the cabin.

I missed an opportunity to get the trunk and front weather tech floor mats off craigslist for $125. Dude just bought a 15 and was getting rid of stuff that didn't fit his new stang. I looked the next day to get the number and they were gone already when I called.

OP that GT mat looks excellent and nice quality! I'm in a harsher environment and really need those weather techs before Winter though. Not as nice looking but handles the snow and dirt better.
To the guys that already have weather techs, can you clean them with something to keep them looking black and shiny other than armor all? I would worry about making them slippery or getting the excess armorall on my shoe and it slipping off the brake. But I would also want to try to keep them kinda black and clean looking.

I don't use armor all on mine, but I do put some something to keep them looking black and clean. Just don't use oil based sprays which will make the mats slippery.

On mine there's one little thing I don't like about my mats, which is that it doesn't cover the whole carpet.it doesn't cover the dead pedal spot and it always get dirty .Click image for larger version

Yeah, I know what you mean about slippery if you armor all them. I use a water-wet paper or shop towel, with just one spray of armor all on it per side. Seems to make them look blacker again, but not shine them up to the point they are a problem.

Simple Green and water

3 cars with weather techs and LOVE how they fit/work. I scored the Stangs from someone who trashed his Boss...I wasn't even looking but they came up from a friend who was going on one of my rides and I made an offer that was accepted and I couldn't not buy them at that price. I don't even drive in the rain but the base model mats were a place where Ford didn't spend $ (I'm ok with that)

OP I'm sorry I started to sidetrack your thread. Again, your trunk looks great and I wish I could keep mine like that.
Regarding the Weathertech, I have them in my wife's Fusion and the quality, fit and appearance is excellent. A bonus I believe is true is that they are made in America. Theres not much I can do myself to change things or improve our nation for the better but one thing I know will most likely help is to purchase and support good quality US products and then tell other people that the company and product is worth the money I paid. In Weathertechs case, they sell themselves when people see them.
Now I'm going to feel really stupid if they are in fact not made here

They spend a ton of money telling people "Proudly made in the USA..." and I agree with you. Paying for a quality product (still) made in the USA feels like an honor.
