Whipple Time

Now the wait is on I just ordered my Whipple 2.9 with the dual fans, 132mm TB upgrades and hope to get it installed in a couple weeks when the kit comes in @ Stang-Hi..

Bought this car a couple months back with plans of leaving it stock, well that lasted long. Its been good working with Cody at Stang-Hi on setting up this deal and now for the install and dyno

That's what I thought about my car too. "Oh, I'll just leave it stock." Yeah, right!
Congrats!

If you have the money to play, why not! I voided the warranty on my 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 at 500 miles!

With this setup I should be somewhere between 600-640 rwhp with the auto.. standards are showing 670 rwhp. I am told with the improved rods this is safe on the 15's with right tune and I am going with the Whipple tune so it should be "RIGHT"

Is this your DD or your weekend car? I'm trying to figure out what forced induction route to go later on and I drive my 2015 daily. Thanks.

Its more of a weekend warrior but I do drive it to work a couple times a week just because it fun to drive. I believe you would be fine for either DD or weekend warrior with this setup and not notice much difference until you put your foot into it.

I hope to have better info soon my install is complete they are just waiting on Whipple to return my PCM so they can install, dyno and give it back to me. Hopefully in a couple days!

Just picked my car up and I can't begin to describe how good it drives. Whipple has this tune down for the auto and Stang-Hi did a great job with the install and even corrected the alignment issues the car had from another shop. Thanks Cody for noticing that.

Car dynoed 651 rwhp at 10.90 psi max boost on a warm day so I am more than satisfied. This is crazy power for just a SC on a stock car with mild tune and boost!

Nice #'s.
Do you know which corrections were used, SAE J1349 & SAE J607 are the most common ?
So Whipple does the same thing Roush does with their kits, you send them your PCM, so you have no hand held ?
To upgrade or change your tune, you have to mail your PCM !

When I first started modding my 11, I had a FRPP 750 kit installed, came with a ProCal tune & hand held. The tune was very conservative, the hand held didn't allow adjustments like tire OD's or rear end ratio changes, kept it less than a year.
Will the unit Whipple provides allow you to adjust your tune ?

No adjustments as long as I want to keep their warranty.. When ready they will have to release PCM then I can do what I want. Their is a local guy that builds 9 sec DD that are reliable an ddrive great local.. May look him up in a couple years. They do offer a handheld for me to use any updates they offer and tire, gear changes to my car and soon data logging for $200.

I know dyno numbers are just dyno numbers but my last car dynoed 1 rwhp more than this one and with the tranny tune off shififting into 5th it ran 10:40 and this car "butt" dyno is definitely faster on big end.
