Cold air intake and hood vents

Just picked up the JLT for my 2015 and since it's an open filter it looks like it will get soaked if I ever get stuck in the rain. Has anyone else ran into this or have an idea on what to do.

Leave the factory CAI on the car. Send back the JLT.

Well unless you want sound or looks the JLT intake is not "useful".

If your set on keeping it then I would try to find a pre-filter to go over the airfilter.

Was worried about the same issue with mine (I have a 14) but I found a K&N setup that has a closed airbox. It connects to the stock air intake from the front of the car and has a carbon fiber cover over the filter to keep the water out in case it ever rains out here in SoCal lol. Not sure if they make a cover for the JLT model.

Someone on Mustang 6G just posted track times and the JLT was slower than the stock intake. Same day. Send it back.

Three with both intakes. The stock intake was faster in worst D/A. He provided the time slips as well.
