Why do people have to vandalize a nice car!?

I intentionally got the Guard color because it kind of flies under the radar and is not as flashy as some of the other GT colors.
We went on a nice trip last weekend to Elko, just to enjoy the top down on one of the last really nice weekends.
Parked at a hotel Saturday night, and thought I'd gotten a really good parking spot at the end of the parking lot. We came out the next morning, and someone had thrown their coffee (with cream and sugar) all over the right front fender and windshield. It had been baking in the sun for a couple of hours by that time, and it was seriously water spotted, and imbedded into the paint.
We went to a grocery store for some vinegar, and that took it off the windows, but we had to work hard at a car wash to get the rest of it off of the paint. I am sure my three coats of wax....Collinite 845......surely helped prevent more serious damage.
I am still having trouble understanding the mindset of that person walking by that did this.....wow! Nice car....lets throw our coffee on it!......DANG, some people.

Because those folks hate that you have a 15 GT and they don't. They didn't work for it so it doesn't phase them. Pure stupidity IMO.

I know exactly what happened here. It was one of these modern age hippy ****** bags that sit around in coffee houses pretending to be smart by making a string of snide comments against anything that is more successful than themselves.

1- Coffee is their prop of choice. They think it makes them sophisticated
2- Mustangs are bad ***. Therefore, they hate them. Not sophisticated enough!
3- They don't actually drink the coffee, thats for working people to do
4- They were walking in a remote part of the parking lot, cause they cant drive
5- They were mad they cant drive- pretend they do it to save the environment- and then allowed their deeply "green" passion get the best of them.

Their loss though. All they have is a bitter attitude and wasted coffee. You have a mustang and could probably beat their *** if you saw them do it.

Here is a picture of who probably did it. A transexual californian woman that bundles up so nobody notices the obviously male body.

It is possible that they tripped and the coffee just happened to spill where it did? Not everyone's a jerk, I don't drink coffee, but my wife spills hers about twice a week, just sayin

It was clearly a hippie. People with jobs don't drink coffee on the weekends. They drink freakin beer.

If they tripped and fell, I'm sure they would have at least made an attempt to clean the coffee off of the car.

Either way, 95% of beer drinkers can appreciate a nice mustang when they see one lol

Moonshine. Bad moonshine.

The only logical thing I can think of.

Bad moonshine makes you blind.

Have you seen a camaro? My guess is yes, and thats one reason you don't own one

probably drunk. the coffee was to sober up. clearly that worked. but hey, you made them stumble at the sight of your mustang. but being drunk, he was probably like, "OH ****" and ran away scared for his life.

or it was just a pos ******bag like everyones suggesting.

At least it was only coffee. When I lived in an apartment a few years ago my mustang(which i only owned for 6 months at the time))was parked on the side of the road for the night, next morning when I was going to work I found that some *** wipe broke off both my side view mirrors which I had to get replaced under insurance.

I once did a bad deed

I was coming out of the Mall.
I seen a teenage kid keying a car. (not even my car)
I jumped him and beat him sooooo bad they had to call the Ambulance to drag him off. I had blood all over me and got the hell out of there.
I only know about the Ambulance because it was in the newspaper about him getting mugged. """BULLPOOP""" But that is what the paper said happened.

My biggest problem was, I did "NOT" feel bad.
I would do it all over again but with my health problems it is not possible, But if it was my car I would jump the prick anyway.

take his wallet for your troubles. lol.

but this is where the problem comes in that they mentioned earlier. You saw a kid keying a car. maybe that was his retaliation for someone damaging his car?

Man that sucks. I feel your pain. I park in the garage at home. Parking garage at work, in the stall where someone can park behind me, but not on the sides due to a wall. Come out and see scratches all down the side of my car.

I do not park my car within 2 miles of any poor people, unless it is protected by some sort of barrier like a 10' tall barbed wire fence at work that you cant enter without your badge.

Always garaged too.

I'm not saying all poor people are vandals. I am just saying that almost all vandals are poor people.

Get rid of the LE Memorial plates, Guard. People will think that you are a cop and these things are going to continue to happen.

You don't think that some people would see it and think to themselves, "I'm going to walk across the parking lot and dump my cup of hotel coffee on the cop's Mustang"?

I know Elko - been there several times, know many of the ranchers and riders who work in the area and their families. This is not typical Elko behaviour, but it is part of some human behaviour. My best guess (since we're all guessing here) is that some drunk staggered into the lot and spilled his or her coffee on your ride after too many rips at the Stockman. Deliberate vandalism is usually done in such a way as to indicate it was intentional.

Glad to learn you and yours are OK, and bravo zulu for keeping your Mustang well waxed and cared for. Try not to personalize this, and move on!

Well this shoots down my theory.

No. In another thread, you said that if I happen to see a Guard 5.0 convertible in Spokane WA, with LE Memorial plates, that you would not race me. So I assumed that you had them on your car.

Does this mean that we are racing now?

it depends on how much they are given by their parents. I just disagreed with the poor people statement. idk but to say most vandals are poor doesn't sit well.

Eh, it's something to think about.

So aside from the coffee incident, how did you like Elko?
Most people would find that to be an odd destination for for a road trip... But not me! Lol.
I actually like looking at old gold mines, and stuff like that.

Well. we had plans to stay Saturday night and watch the Seahawks Sunday, then leave after the game and get part way home.............but when we got there, my wife (who always has the best luck!) won $750 in the first two hours, and told me, "if we stay, I am just going to put it all back in while you watch the game".......so we basically turned around and left without staying even one night..........we'll have to go back for the sights!

I feel your pain Guard. I've got a single parking spot on front of my garage in my apt complex. On either side is a concrete median so no one can park next to my car. It never fails, some asshat will then try to squeeze by my back bumper and the garage door. There is a side wall posits of the spot, but the 4 feet to walk to that is not "convenient enough" apparently. My new edge bumper is all scratched up, and I had to put cones up on either side. It doesn't stop some people though. I've had some walk into my garage when I had the door open to try and get by. I'm now the crazy vet because of the things I've had to say and do to these people. Atleast they leave me alone now lol

NO RESPECT!
