Windshield scrape/scratch

Has anyone had an issue with a scrape type mark on the inside of your windshield. Bought new GT/vert/50yr anniversary in April. Noticed scrape not long after buying. Don't show in shaded/cloudy days. Sunny days right in line with driver view, a long scrape very noticeable. Very distracting when driving. Thought it just needed cleaning. Also that it was on the outside. Couldn't clean it. Took it to glass place and they said it was on the inside and most likely a defect. Took ride back to dealer for them to check it out. Dealer took lots of pictures for Ford to look them over. Waiting now to see if Ford will replace windshield. I've bought many new vehicles in my days and never see this before.

I always make it a habit to take off all my rings when I clean my windshield......I have scratched mine with the back of my hand when the cloth I am using to clean comes off my hand.
Not saying that is what happened here........just saying that if you do get a new windshield, taking off your rings when you clean it is a great idea.

Not my case. I don't ware any rings. Always use clean cloths. Usually micro fiber or cotton.

I honestly think the windshield is softer than previous cars I have owned. It already has 3 tiny chips in the windshield. With less than 3000 miles it makes you wonder.

Yes it's fast, no you can't drive it.

Great update. Ford is going to replace my windshield. Dealer just called. Makes you think about your glass quality.

Glad the dealer is replacing it at no charge. I get a crack in the windshield every few years. Every time I've had it repaired it's never truly gone...always see a tiny mark left over. I feel your pain.
