2015 REVIEWS

Ok, lets have some reviews from 2015+ owners. Handling, power, "get up and go", interior, comfort, etc. How does it compare to 2014 and older?

I had an 11 GT Premium Performance Pack and I loved it but now I have a 15 GT Permium Performance pack with Leather recaro option and nav. The car feels way more than 4 years newer on the inside for sure. The keyless entry stuff is convenient. The power is pretty similar both of mine had mods though so not going to go into comparing that. Stock the 15 suspension is better but the wheel hop is insane, that's the number one complaint I have. The transmissions feel the same, comfortable but a little sloppy. The trunk space seems to be bigger on the 15. The headlights are way brighter than my 11s were. The aftermarket parts for the 15 are still somewhat limited compared to the 11 which makes sense. Stock exhausts are heavy and quiet on both for the most part but aftermarket options for those are beautiful. All the tech on the 15 like the electronic gauges, track apps, and trip info stuff is awesome, makes the car seem way more modern.

Overall I would take the 15 over the 11 even though I absolutely love both of them.

Don't you just jizz yourself every time you sit in those 15 seats? I know I do.

They make the car in my opinion. I can't wait for someone to come out with a harness bar for the 15s.

The S550 advances the state of the art light years over the previous Mustang models. The interior is simply perfect, and the (standard) seats are the most comfortable I've ever sat in.
I like the independent rear suspension, but I don't race or try to spin the tires (very often), so have not experienced the dreaded wheel hop.
The brakes feel almost hero-like and very confidence inspiring. The brake pedal feel is very progressive, with the pressure applied very equal to the braking generated -- the best combination I've ever felt, and they continue to surprise me and make me smile.
We have a convertible, so for me, the stock exhaust sounds terrific -- perfect for a Grand Touring car, which the Mustang now is -- maybe more so than the "muscle" car it used to be. It sounds like the new Camaro has taken up that torch, as it's louder, rides harder etc. than the new Mustang. Although, with the 5.0 'Stang's 0 to 60 mph in the mid 4's and 0 to 100 in around 10 seconds, it would most certainly embarass practically ANY "muscle" car from previous years. The Camaro is faster, and produces better lateral G's -- but I'll take the quiet, confident cruising of our Mustang every day of the week, and twice on the Sabbath.
The styling of the S550 is also perhaps more GT than muscle car -- but even after owning ours for 8 months, I am still discovering new cues in the styling and curves that lend a more European appearance than the Camaro will ever have with its current styling direction. I'll take breathtakingly pretty over hulking and massively broad shouldered.
In short, we LOVE our new Mustang, and there is not another car that I would desire to have more than this one:

Do you own a Mustang? If so, what year and equipment?

One other thing --- the visibility on the Mustang is outstanding compared to any of the other pony cars on the market, especially the Camaro.

It's difficult to add to all Guard covered. I have a GT Premium non PP, black on black with manual trans, Nav, 3.55 LS. I've lowered, laterally stiffened and tinted it, and added magnaflow competition exhaust w x pipe, a 500w sub/amp and all season tires for the winter. The car looks and sounds great, handles superbly, and rides comfortable. We love it. It's the perfect fun car.

Well. If you're thinking about going to the 15-16 it's definitely a new ball game. For me, at 6'9", the telescoping steering wheel made the difference or I'd have had a bullitt or Saleen back in '10. Ended up w a RT Challenger, another nice car. Wife traded in on honda hybrid accord a couple years ago. Hemi to a hybrid. No problem for me. Kinda funny. Was nice getting 40-60 mpg. Made wife happy. I had a 4x. Then later w 3/4 kids>18, the 15 came out and it was a good fit. Heated/cooled seats, better handling than Challenger, and similarly powerful. Beautiful lines after first 3%. Front appearance is just ok - but it has some room for improvement. Overall better looking given 97% but barely cause of front. I'd have no problem keeping a 13 if I fit as well. IRS is just a pain in the but so far. Does it help w ride and handling? Maybe someone else could say. That 2010 Saleen or Bullitt I almost bought seemed incredible. That Saleen was like a race car but smooth. I've stiffened the rear so much on this one I doubt it does much of anything to improve over a non IRS but I don't know. Raising questions more than answers. Think about it. You could do some crazy things to your car, and make it your own. I'll have more thoughts once I have dampers to match my lowering springs. This modded 15 is the most fun car I've ever had. That 2010 Saleen would have been a close match (no blower just suspension)
