Just got a 2016!

Picked her up today. Went to the dealer to have my coolant topped off in my 2012 and drove off in this:

Wow, your dealership must be like mine. I once went to get a car wash and ended up leaving in a new F150 lol.

Very nice GT. Absolutely love Ruby Red, one of the best color options available imo.
What are the major differences between the 15's and 16's?

Ha! I just had to look around the lot lol. Bad part is I initiated the purchase. Oops.
Not sure of the exact differences, but mine is a base GT with PP and it has waaaaay more options than my '12 did. It was a V6 though, but a PP as well. Thankfully mine came with the track app!

Not many differences between the 15's and 16's. With the 16's you can get a black roof option, they come with turn signals in the hood, and you can get nickel luster wheels with the PP instead of the black wheels. And I believe the over the top stripes. Congrats on your new '16, nice color.

I believe the 16 also has the updated sync 3 system.

Flipping SWEET! That is the best color. Not sure trading the '12 was a good idea but I'm partial to '11-'12's.

I would trade a 12 V-6 for a 16 V-8 in a second!

As much as I love the 11-14 Mustangs I gotta say he did the right thing. If my 11' 5.0 ever leaves my hands I refuse to go to a 6 or a 4. No matter how good they get.

Yep, only reason I went with the new one instead of keeping my '12 was because it's a 5.0.
Would never have traded for another 6 or eco.
First mods are led switchbacks for the front and blacking out the emblems. Already have a black pony on the way and white led front parking lights installed.

I installed switchbacks, led backup light, and led interior lights.

The switchbacks are bright! As bright as my fog lights.

Have to agree with the comments above regarding Ruby Red. When I bought my 2014 V6 PP at the end of the model year in late 2014, I specified that my new car would not be black, silver, any shade of grey, or white (in fact, could have lived with white). Ruby Red was one of two colours they could deliver, so the deal was done. I continue to get compliments from other drivers at stop lights, and in parking lots, gas stations, and on the bases where I work. That shade of red literally glows in the sunshine.

Synch is a cinch to set up, for those who may find it daunting. Just follow the manual. It's operation takes some practice, but don't take your eyes off the road to accomplish that!

Bravo Zulu (congrats!) on your new roadster, ponie 1992!

Yep, those are on the list as well, along with window tint and getting my sub hooked up.

Race Read. I had been contemplating this purchase for a while and wanted yellow cuz then EVERYONE THEN KNOWS YOU'VE ARRIVED. But when I when to test drive one (an ugly pale green color) the salesman said I might get tired of yellow. I thought about it and he was right. I'm so glad I didn't get yellow. I get thumbs up every so often from people in traffic so I bet you will to. I have a similar '64 grille that I wanted very badly (I'm in to details) and they had a photo of it in the brochure and the only way you could get it was to get the 50 Ed pakg. I also wanted to go with mags but with the 50pakg they only offered 1 style of rims. I'm loving it, & I'm sure you will love yours. It's hot.

Thanks! And, yeah, I couldn't do yellow either. The race red is, well, RED! It's nice but too red for me. So, that's why I went with ruby. Congrats on yours as well and I can't wait to get more seat time in mine!

The color is only important to the driver/owner of the Mustang. Bottom line that's what matters. Screw what other people think. As long as you love the color of yours and are happy with it. Every one has there own tastes and theres nothing wrong with that. As long a YOU are happy with it is all that matters. Cheers!

Performace Package. I couldn't add that, and the 50 Year Anniversary Package, so I went with the 50 year. Happy I did too.

Yep. And were one of the few of the people to be Mustang owners. Not every one who wants one can. I've wanted one since I was a kid. I saw the 2015 at the 2014 new car show and loved it. And thought wow that's cool! Never thinking I'd have the chance to get one. But some unforeseen things happened in my life that I didn't see coming and all the stars aligned. And I was able to get one. I feel so Proud to join the family of Mustang owners. I love mine so much!!! Still trying to figure out sync though. LOL

I've had different Mustangs since high school. From 4 bangers to v8's. I've been lucky to have almost always have one. Each one has been special to me. The hardest one to let go was my '92 coupe. Had that one for 11 years. It went from mid 14 second 1/4 mile times to 10 seconds. Loved that car! I feel this one just might be the same way for me.

Very nice!!! Still waiting on mine...I ordered a '16 which should be here any day now. What convinced me is in '16 you can now get the PP in a convertible which what I ordered, triple yellow, yellow jacket interior and all the options you can get with the PP. Also, the turn signals in the hood reminded me of my very fist car which was a '67 Mustang convertible...now I just need to sell my '12 GT/CS...the dealer wouldn't give me ***** for a trade in.

Very cool! Can't wait to see yours! I actually got the high end of trade in value for my '12, so I had to let it go. When I was looking last year right before the '15's came out, I was offered $4000 less for my '12. Crazy how that changed this time around.

Maybe I'll try again on the trade when mine finally comes in, worth looking into, thanks!
For now I have a friend that owns a dealership who is selling for me for a small commission.
It only has 8K miles on it and I added a bunch of mods...
