Cell phone holder?

What is everyone using in the '15 and up to hold your cell phone? The one I used in my '12 (vent type mount) won't work in my '16. The vent "blades" are too long/deep. Any suggestions?

I leave mine (LG G4) in my pocket as it's usually short trips I take the car for (not my DD). Or I leave it in the little cubby in front of the shifter, where the aux. Plug is.

There are so many of these holders now... I'd see what your phone maker has for an OEM as far as a windshield suction mount if that is something you'd like. Some of the OEM mounts are REALLY nice especially Motorola stuff in my experience.

I use my waze app almost every day. My girlfriend lives about 40 minutes away, so I used my phone holder often. A windshield mount is out of the question. I hate mounting devices to the windshield. I tried the little cubby below the heat/ac controls but my phone kept falling towards me. I appreciate the suggestions. Guess I'll keep searching for something that will fit.

If you are looking to put a legit stereo in the car what about getting something with mirrorlink? That is what I want to do with my 2000 eventually once I get it all up and running and swap the stereo to a double DIN.

Look up Scosche Magic Mount. Most convenient mount I've ever used.

That magic mount looks pretty legit. I just wonder how it would work with a phone that uses magnets to go into cradle mode...

I'll see if I can test it with my iPad later today. Comes with 2 magnets. Put one on my iPhone and one on my X4. I'd never use any other mount. The actual mount is nice and small and blends in nicely.

Exactly which mount do you have and where did you put it?

I'll get a pic in an hour or so when I head out. This is the mount I purchased. Got it at Walmart.

Can't take a pic with the phone attached for obvious reason. But here's where I placed it.

Thanks for the pic. I was under the impression that you had a '15 or '16. That does look small enough, so I should be able to find a spot in mine. Thanks again.

How does the 3M tape hold with that thing? I know obviously use isopropopyl alcohol and clean the **** out of the adhesive area but I'd imagine over time it would come loose or get... something... Maybe not.

I've had it on there for over a year. It's not budging. I didn't even clean the adhesive area. Just a quick wipe down. It's not going anywhere.

Took your advice and bought the mount. Seems like it'll work pretty good. Here's where I mounted it.

Looks good. It's incredibly convenient. Phone attached/detached in 0.05 seconds. Doesn't shake on bumps etc either.
