Borla exhaust question- adaptability

I just recently sold my 2014 V6 mustang and I took off all my parts. Within those parts was a borla S-Type exhaust. I recently purchased a new 2016 GT and some one told me I could use that same borla exhaust on my new GT.. Is that true? Re state question "can I use my old 2014 V6's Axel back on my new 2016 GT V8" thanks in advance

Not even close. It's completely different from 14 to 15. One is cut and clamp the other uses ball joints. Not to mention the v6 exhaust has smaller diameter tubing than the gt. The hangers are in the wrong place too.

Hangers can be added by welding them on. Pipe diameter on the '15+ is 2.5". If your exhaust is 2.5", some of the tubing might be able to be reused. Best thing would be to talk with an exhaust shop to see if they can use it without too much extra effort and cost .

Don't waste your time messing with this. It will never be right. You will spend far too much time and or money making those mufflers worthless. Just sell your v6 s197 stingers and buy the right set up for your s550 5.0

Yea I figured.. I just got an offer which should fund my new cat back for the 2016. Now I just need to decide which cat back.. Have my eye on the borla S-Type or the corsa extreme..
