Is that a 2016? I thought the GT's had more aero on the bottom, and it was black? Our 2015 does............
The tips look very well done and good with the red.

Yeah, 2016 PP GT. The PP cars have a one piece rear bumper, all painted. Only the premiums have the bumper/valance combo.

About how much did it cost? If you don't mind me asking. I was thinking about doing the same thing but possibly with plasti dip first just to see if it works.

Ah, gotcha. My car is actually rather dirty. Rain Friday and rain again today. Thanks though!

$25 per tip. Nice shiny finish. I'm very pleased.

I hope you like matte black too, because in a couple months that's what they'll be.

From 1st hand experience. Every tip I've powder coated has turned into a dull satin finish over time. The heat cycles break down the gloss. Any powdercoater will tell you that. I ended doing a satin black this time and I did a ceramic coat. This is the reason Borla opted to do a black chrome finish on their black tips. The black chrome finish is just a chemical reaction to the metal when they put a certain chemical on it.

Hmmm, well I asked them about the heat and they assured me there would be no issue. One thing to note is my tips don't really get hot at all. Reason being is I have the Roush quad axle-back and most of the exhaust exits from the inner outlet. I can drive the car for 45 minutes or better, park and directly touch the tips with my hand and they are not what I consider hot. I can leave my hand on them.

These were gloss black 6 months prior. They were roush tips that I had powder coated. They are correct when saying heat will not be an issue regarding reaching the baking temps, but the finish won't hold up very well.

I was referring to the finish when I said they told me no issue. I specifically asked them if they would hold the shine. I guess we'll see.

Those look really sharp on your car. Definitely let us know how they end of holding up over the months.
