I let a "So Called one of the Best" tuners around for LS engines tune my last SC car and when he adjusted the tune after 3 passes with current setup due to low mph numbers it went BOOM on the next pass exploding into flames at over 130 mph leaving engine parts all over the track and then would not even help me fix car if I paid him. No thanks ,Whipple has their tune down, its safe but it's not your typical canned tune as it also shows results. I know there are good tuners out there but for me it's Whipple or Whipple That's just me though.

Correct me if I'm wrong Rap. Now that truck has the good stock Vortech heads on it correct?
I remember watching an episode of Engine Masters, and they stated the Vortech heads for the 99-06 GM trucks and RWD vans are the best stock head. Thought it was odd that they'd be better than the LS series heads in the muscle cars and Vettes. Any truth to that?

They are 862's I picked up another set of them for free from my uncle. Going to port and polish and mil .30 then swap them out.
They aren't better but dam near identical.
