You can get a 2015 mustang any day , but how many times in your life will you get to own a clean 1965 289 Hipo for free ?

trust me had that thought...but nothing is for free! ...transport, storage, insurance and upkeep...and it's a rare car I would be nervous about driving like I'd want to! But, it is a win/win that I get not just any Mustang, but one of the 1964 50th GT's and the $ will really help support the family! ...happy wife, happy life!

I'd prob do the same thing. Sell off the classic and enjoy the new car and the cash. Win win.

fwiw I think you are making a smart choice.....all of us would love both but the realities of keeping both unless you are already wealthy can put a damper on it. I'd have a hard time deciding but financially keeping the new one makes sense as I'll assume you'll have the instant depreciation that you get when you drive it off the lot/sell at auction/etc.

talk about 1st world problems.

Ya, that is what I did.

The The '65 K Code Mustang GT is still available for purchase. Please contact the fine folks at Streetside Classics in Florida - (813) 501-1630 ..ask for Bob Mueller 813-501-1630

1965 Ford Mustang | Streetside Classics - The Nation's Top Consignment Dealer of Classic and Collectible Cars

...but loving the '15...and just did the Ford Performance Touring Cat-back with the black tips...I want to keep it as "factory" as possible, but have fun as well!
