Odd noise from the stereo speakers when I open the door.
This only happens when the car has been sitting for more than a couple of days......
When I open the driver's door, there is a very low frequency "VFVFVFVPHPH"......sound that comes out of the driver's door speaker. It only last for about half a second. REALLY an odd sound.........and I am betting that perhaps I am the only one?
Yeah, I thought about hinge noise too.....but from everything I can tell, it's the driver's door speaker that hums this noise, and it happens even if I only open the door a little bit, or open it quickly all the way..............strange, right?
The noise is really low frequency -- and if it was the hinge, I think it would happen all the time -- but this is only when it's been sitting for more than a day or two.....
Covered in the garage -- likely not rust.........but I'll try the WD40 test as well....you can even feel the vibration in the rest of the door when it does this.
There are power subs in the door for the Premier option?
I have a 2012 with the shaker audio and occasionally when I first turn on the radio I get a sound, like static, out of the base speaker in the drivers door. It stops after about 10 seconds and is fine after that. I removed the speaker and all the connections seem fine so I'm at a loss as to what causes it.
