Do ****ty chrome wheels really cost that much?

I always hear "Get financing on a new set of 22s today, weekly payment plans available!" on the radio, and just wonder how many people actually went this route.

I can't even begin to imagine what those wheels and tires would drive like. They would probably lower the effective final drive to something like 1.75.
0 to 60 in 4.................minutes?

People down here do all the time, most of them get them repossessed. It's funny seeing all the crown vics lifted way up in the air with rusted steel wheels on bald tires because the owner couldn't make the payments on their "deuces" or whatever else they like to call that garbage. If you have to finance your wheels you are not a baller, stud, badass, or whatever they are trying to portray. To me your just another broke *** that makes poor life choices and financial decisions. Sorry, rant over. I really, really can't stand this big wheel fad. It's just ridiculous looking, hurts performance, and is unsafe. So why?

"Insert clever phase here"
