Installed my cat-back today

I ordered my car two months ago, and picked it up on Friday. I started off by switching out the chrome for black emblems, and today I installed the Gibson Performance cat-back. Very impressed with this setup, and it's not too loud and no drone. Click image for larger version

A friend of mine has it also and said the only drone you get is around 1500-1700 RPM if you are in 6th.

But it is loud. I am up in the air with S Types or Flowmaster American Thunder ABs for mine. I already did the resonator delete H Pipe. So either will sound deep.

I had American Thunders on my old 2008 V6 and they sounded very nice. I was sad when I saw they had a different flavor of Flowmasters for the 3.7s. Which didn't sound quite the same.

I'm a Flowmaster guy myself. I had them on me 2011 GT, and loved them. The Flowmaster cat-back on the S550 requires cutting, and that was why I went this route. The volume is definitely louder than stock, but it's quieter than I was expecting; I'm happy.
One's idea of the best tone and level of volume is subjective. I was a jet engine mechanic for over 20 years, so I guess you could say I'm partly deaf and simply used to loud. As for drone, I don't have any of what I refer to as drone. To me drone is a really low resonating tone that is annoying. I don't have that at all. I do hear the exhaust, and yes it's deep when driving under a slight load at roughly 1,700 RPM's, but it's not a resonating drone.
To be honest, I was a little nervous, I felt that the car sounded great from the factory. For me, I'm happy with the Gibson. It was between that and the Magnaflow for me, I didn't care for the Borla.

Yes, two for the 5.0, and 4 for the GT.
