You can run catless but if you get pulled over you'll get a ticket.

Only if the officer cares to inspect. Most of the time an officer has a better reason for pulling you over. Writing an emissions or equipment ticket is normally added if you do something stupid to irritate the officer that is trying to do their job.

As soon as I get the opportunity, the 4 exhaust clogging, power robbing chunks of garbage known as catalytic converters are leaving my car.

The OP said he is moving to Florida, we don't have emissions inspections here. Cops therefore don't do Cat checks. We do have noise ordinances though so cats and mufflers are a good idea.

I recently installed a Kooks h pipe catback. It is polished and the fit is great. Great quality and the sound is awesome. If I go LTH it will be Kooks also, with green cats. I don't plan on getting a tune anytime soon.

Even though there are no emissions checks, modifying the exhaust to anything other than factory can warrant a citation. That being said I have never seen anyone actually get that ticket unless they really asked for it.

Green cats? Is that the hi flow cats? So you don't need a tune if you have hi flow cats?

What part of FL? The only ones that will get you will be DOT or ear trained state troopers and that's if you're acting out. What you will save on the cats will more than pay for the first ticket if you ever get one. Pretty much have to be asking for it to be called out.

Kooks has a special Cat that is high flow and will not require you to have the car tuned to run LTH. Most that buy this setup have no issues and a few have had their car throw a CEL. They get by that by installing adapters on the O2 sensors behind the cats. But Kooks with Green Cats is the only LTH that doesn't require a Tune.

Oh but they are pricey.

Still good idea to get a tune. You've now moved your front o2's down stream further thus requiring the system to have a delay. The long tubes do a majority of the work but you still run the potential for other codes to come up that will associate with the exhaust system.
