Whipple or Roush Supercharger?

Is the Whipple Supercharger worth the extra $$$ or should I go with the Roush on my 16 GT?

2.9 vs 2.3................Not to say that Roush doesn't make a nice kit.
SAI uses a Whipple kit on their 2015 - 2017 SS conversions.
I may be biased, as I run a Whipple on both cars. ( 11- 2.9 / 14 - 3.4 )

If you go with the Roush you might want to look into different tunes. I love my set up but I think there is a better tune out there for it.

The Roush tunes tend to be on the conservative side, but make good hp for what they are.
Roush was offering free tune upgrades for awhile, not sure if that's still the case.
The Roush kits have no handheld.

The upgrade was from 627hp to 670hp. Now there is a driveability flash to smooth things out. And yes no handheld tuner

I'm on my 2nd whipple and couldn't be happier! Had the first one put on , installed the second one myself, on line support and instructions were spot on. What I didn't like about the Roush was 2.3 and you had to hack on your engine to make It fit. Watch the sales that different people have and it isn't that much more. I feel I got what I paid for. What does Hennessey and Shelby run?

Newer motor I'd pick the whipple. Love my Roush SC and yes, different tune made it way better! Newer 5.0 you can push a little more hp so why limit yourself? 2.9 if I were you.

With the potential the 2015 based 5.0 has, the larger Whipple is what you want.

If warranty means nothing then go with whipple, i did. The ONLY thing that bothers me about the roush sc is it makes no noise at all.

Psh, warranty, what's that?
Must be a relative thing. CAI and smaller pulley and I can hear my Roush.

Do you have to change or tune anything else when you do a smaller pulley?

Did you do the tune right away or add it after? I want to see if he has anything for Roush set up.

You put the new parts on then change the tune before running the car again. You can load the tune first and then install the parts. I prefer the former way in case something comes up and you can't finish the mod. Not that reloading a tune is difficult or time consuming, just avoiding a potential extra step.

They had a base (drivable tune) so they can data log the readings. Then from there they do their magic.

Roush just has a conservative tune.
