FRPP or Corsa X Pipe

I have a 2016 GT with the Corsa Touring axle back exhaust. I'm now wanting an x pipe to put on next. I want my car to sound like the Corsa Sport catback, but the $509 price tag on the double helix x pipe has me doing some homework. Will the FRPP x pipe sound the same as the Corsa X pipe? $280 difference in price. I can't find this set up on YouTube either. Do all X pipes sound the same?

All X pipes

are inherently the same except the double helix. Mishimoto did a detailed test when developing their pipe and they found that the degree or config of the single x didn't have an affect on the sound or the hp. So if you get an X from one company it should be roughly the same sounding as any other and make the same difference in power (almost 0).

The double X should sound different since it has the gasses crossing streams twice instead of once but, I don't have any proof. I suggest you spend more time looking at the install vids of the system you are interested in or maybe visit different forums and post this same question. This forum is nice but it is not S550 intensive.

I ended up going with an H pipe and it should be here Thurs. I'll report back how I like it. I went with the Heart throb H from American Muscle. If I don't like it I'll go with the Corsa X.

I have the ss mbrp race cat back on mine, it sounds great, it's not to loud on startup, so I don't wake the neighbors. It's deep tone. It gets loud but not over bearing wot, on a 16 pp gt. At 70-75 not too loud. There is drone at 59-64 mph in 6th gear. I bought for $400 used so I can live with the drone. SS will last longer. Hope this helps.
