keep 2012 and supercharge or go for 2018

A while back I bought a used 2012 GT, race red, 6 speed, with Brembo package and 3:73 gears. It already had a short throw shifter and Magnaflow axle back mufflers installed. Like new, not a scratch on it with 17K miles.
I had been shopping 2017's but this car was the one after driving a 17. The 17 seemed bulky, heavy, and not as fast.
I had a 2014 GT I regret in a moment of weakness sold, but that's another story.
I know it's early but here's what I'm thinking.
2012 is standard GT and missing Bluetooth and sirrus but I can supercharge it and since it's not my daily driver, not be a problem.
A 2018 will supposedly have more HP and of course have all the amenities and would have to be my daily driver. I would get the automatic and dual mode exhaust.
Would appreciate your thoughts on this.

18 auto, dual mode exhaust.

It will be extremely fast with the 10 speed auto.

of those 2 choices I would keep/SC.

What is your DD? An awesome Mustang and a truck is one heck of a combo.

^ I agree. VMP Gen 2, supporting mods, good tire..you're done. You can make it rediculous if it's not a daily driver.

If you want the newest platform and tech etc then get the 2018, I'm sure it won't disappoint.

A friend of mine put on a VMP and he told me that after riding in mine, which has a 2.9 WHIPPLE there is no comparison....and you won't have to butcher your block to make it fit. Easy install, with a few options to my door $7000. and change from Lethal.

'12 SC and explorer for winter is my gig. That would be my vote b/c you can do what you want with it. Definitely recommend VMP as Recon suggested. Not going to argue 2.3 vs 2.9 but riding along always seems quicker/faster than driving imo. Probably be happy with either.

2018 has the performance pack option of basically the same magnetic suspension as the GT350. I could not see going any other way myself.

Had 5 Mustangs. the last two were a Black 2012 GT/CS lowered, custom wheels, Airaid CAI, Flowmaster Outlaws, BAMA tune, MMD hood struts, Raxiom Black Halo headlights, 13-14 tail lights, & Raxiom Taillight adapters. Removed the 2012 GT/CS stripe (black on black sucks) Replaced with 13-14 Silver GT/CS stripes. I now have a 2015 Magnetic Gray Premium GT with Performance Pack, Borla's, Velgen 20" wheels with Nitto Invos with 275's up front, and 295's in the rear. Airaid CAI, JLT oil separator.
