I just installed a set of these muffler deletes and they sound amazing. The quality and fit are excellent. Only issue is major drone in cabin. So I ordered a set of SOLO Performance J pipes to install and that should eliminate 90% of the drone. Total investment $540. Still way cheaper thank CORSA or Borla's and the Pypes sound amazing.
I have the factory mufflers. They are like new on l y 2k miles on them if any is interested I them PM me.
Can't figure out what people are complaining about with Pypes bombs. The quality and fit of mine are eccellent. They sound amazing. The drone is to be expected with any muffler dete, but SOLO Perf has an inexpensive solution to it.
To each his own I gues. Mine fit excellent and centered in the openings. The quality of the 304 SS construction and finish is excellent. I have had other muffler deletes on my cars and they all have drone. Like I said SOLO makes a simple inexpensive SS J pioe fix for the drone that leaves you with a sick sounding exhaust and a quiet cabin.
Magnaflow, gibbson or any other exhaust that isn't 304 SS won't last long term. I had them and know from experience daily driving in the northeast US. Funny thing is for example Magnaflow charges premium price for their cheaper quality SS system. You are just paying for the name.

No crizzle I'm not affiliated with Pypes, just giving my experience with the pypes exhaust I installed on my S550. Some like them and some don't. To each his own. I like the sound and am happy with them. The stock exhaust sucks. On the other hand my the stock PSE exhaust on my two Porsche's sounds great. But I guess when you are shelling out $135k for a Carrera GTS it's exhaust better sound great.
I changed my Cayman S's exhaust to Borla which sounded awesome. Then I wanted more power later, so I changed it to TPC (stage 2 turbo) and it sounded like a wind up car. :/ Then again it was worth it for the extra 120 hp, on a 3,000 lb car.
The fitment issues people are talking about were most common on the S197s. It seems Pypes may have gotten their act together and done the proper R&D for the S550s.
They must have because mine on my S550 fit perfect and the quality and workmanship was excellent.
