Actually, I'm thinking a tuned 2018 GT with magneride, 10-speed auto & PP will be faster and better than a GT350. It would have wider power band, and faster in all kinds of situations b/c of the 10 speed auto always keeping it in the peak power band, AND shifting faster than any human could.
If its anything like the past coyotes 5.0s, around 1,500 RPMs will pick up 40+ lbs torque, and peak will pick up about 25hp/25lbs. So MIN. 485 hp /445 lbs
Fun budget:
2018 GT PP, Magneride, 10-speed auto, Premium, etc.
+add GT350 wheels
+add 2-piece rotors (front & back)
+add one piece drive shaft
The 3 add ons would significantly reduce rotating mass and make car even faster.
Dang! 12 to 1 compression ratio? Engine control computers have come a long way, haven't they?
Interesting that Ford was willing to make this kind of investment in the 5.0.....thanks, Camaro SS!!
