Ok so why not market as follows: 4 cyl Ecoboost 300hp called the Mustang Filly. A 3.7 375hp Ecoboost called the Mustang Gelding and 475 hp Gt Stallion. lol

The best I can tell, the article is stating this like fact when it clearly says it came from someone on a forum who supposedly got someone from Ford to spill the beans..
While I personally don't think the engine selections are too far from accurate, I do think the HP #'s are a but of a stretch.. I'd also be very surprised to see 3 choices(any SVT/Shelby excluded). My money is on an Eco boost 4 or 6 as a base and a 5.0DOHC as the GT..

Currently 260/300 to the rear. A few more pieces and the super charger will go on and I'll be making 400/(mid 4's)

I was quite surprised when I test drove a 2010 GT vs a 2011 3.7. Not that much different in sound with the stock mufflers.
Yeah I could feel the extra 45Ibs of torque off the line but once in 3rd gear not so much. Not enough to throw away gas money and insurance on. And I knew the 10 had more HP than the 09. I'm glad they came out with this V6 because I never would have bought the old one and thrift wise was hesitant to buy a GT. All these arguments regarding sound are an extension of the old V8 vs Inline6 days. Regarding the 2011+ Cyclone vs Coyote engines your getting close to the same HP and Torque per cylinder on each. Dont get me wrong I can afford it but just always been thrift conscious. Glad I didn't drive a 2012 GT.

I have no qualms about how the v6 sounds stock. It's when ppl add this or that to try and make it sound like a v8. I say put a fart can on it and call it a day, same difference. I watched the video of the 6 with resonators and Roush ab, it sounded like a modified weedwacker.

You mean when the sixxers buy our sound tubes and resonators. Things we want off for better sound they need to add for better sound.

So you take off sound tubes that Ford put on because customers complained they were too quiet? I find that interesting.
When you do this and put on Catbacks, headers, x pipes etc what is it you're trying to make your GT sound like?
I heard a GT coming down the freeway the other day and my first thought was whatever that is it sounds like a truck. When I saw it was a GT second thought was Dude gets some mufflers.

It's my opinion of course but I think the V6 with Magnaflow streets sounds better than a stock GT. And the GT with streets isnt better sounding just louder. And there are limits to loud. If you're just after the loudest thing out there then buy a dragster.

I like the stock pipes. Not bad for factory. Would just like a tad deeper and louder. I put Magnaflows on my old PT Cruiser and it had a nice Deep Tone of its own. Nothing like a fart can ricer and wasn't expecting it to sound like a V8. But the Stang is going to have to wait on an upgrade if ever.

I think my torque wrench maxing at 150 ft lbs could be used to measure your torque
