Don't blame me if you think it doesn't make sense. Blame Ford. If you have been paying attention that is what has been happening over the last few model years.

Ummmm...the reason this happens is with all vehicles. You can still buy a 13 model but not one from ford. Auto makers create the next MODEL year in the current year. For instance, your 2013 was made and sold in 2012. This is so they can ship them and sell them in the current year, which is why at the end of the model year they stop selling them. It has been a marketing ploy for a very long time. The only way you are getting a model year and a build year together is from custom ordering or getting a super car that are few and far between.

Those are renders, not the final car.

Well, I'm sure there will be plenty of 2014 models left on dealers lots in May 2014 and by that time everybody will long know what the specs are and looks of the 2015 model. Just buy one that's on the dealers lot.

That's absolutely not true, there's leftovers at dealerships for maybe a year

As of last week, (when I checked last) you can still custom buy a 13 from Ford.

Why would Ford make a 13 when the 14s are out?

I don't think there will be a mass exodus from the current gen stang. I say this only because I thought I would have been able to find tons of '10 GTs after the '11 came out with 100+ more hp, but they never materialised. I waited until the '14s got out.

It's not about ME being right or wrong. I'm telling you that's what happend . 3 weeks after I placed my order ( back in the end if Jan beginning of Feb). My dealer called and told me they stopped making the 13 and I was getting a 14 instead. I can't believe what controversy this has spurred. I'm just saying that's what happened to ME!

That doesn't mean that they stopped making the 13. The 13 went down in price when the 14 came out, so giving you a 13 would be a bit unfair since you paid full price, which is most likely why you were upgraded to the 14. The dealer must have talked to you a bit about options, since the options from the 13 to 14 differ. It's just not something that they can "upgrade" on the fly.

Your probably right but that was what he said to me in the conversation we had. I was very specific in my order I placed so everything was the same except the smoked out rear lights which I would of added anyway. Maybe he just said that cause it was an easier way to go instead of re negotiating all over again. Either way it doesn't matter to me I'm quite happy. I love my car!

This is true. In may I bought my 2012 used. I was originally talking with the dealer about custom order and the difference in rebates between ordering a 13 or 14. You probably won't find 13's on the lot but as of may you could still order one and a lot of times find leftovers in the port.

That's hideous lol. But the leaked pics are leading to a look far from that.

I'm pretty sure people have seen this, but yeah. I was too busy worrying about how they kind of butchered the mustangs tough and fierce styling cues to remember that it would also mean the cobra would get the same treatment. I like it, but just not as a mustang. I said the same thing when the charger came out. For what it is, it's a nice car, but it shouldn't be a charger.

Do you guys thing that if the internet makes enough noise on this (should the car piss a lot of enthusiasts off) that we could end up stirring the pot and having another probe/mustang debacle like from the late 80's?

Except the mustang logo was spotted on the grill and on the steering wheel in several of the spy shots. :/

Maybe they put a mustang logo on it to screw with the Fusion enthusiasts. Then they keep telling them this is not what it's really going to look like. Lol

I heard the same and I'm with you buddy! I actually don't mind if they ruin the mustang for a few years because that is only going to make ours that much more desirable 20 years from now. The reason I like old cars so much (30s-60s) is because with one glance you can tell exactly what year it is from. Now they **** out the same car for five years at a time. It is nice that they have dwindled down in the mustang body style mass production ie 10-12 and 13-14. That's better then most right now. I just hope that they start becoming more creative so that certain cars will become classics when I'm an old fart.

That picture is nothing more than a refresh of the current model design. Lol. If it is the new 2015 , then it doesn't look that much different than the 2014
