Hahaha. So true. Autos are very hard to beat now unless your very good with a stick transmission.

This is incorrect.. Your autos will rule the strip, most of the time, especially when your talking 10 second cars and less... The transmission in a vehicle won't make a car faster necessarily.. Maybe more gears=higher top speed.. But your hp/ tourqu # will not change

yeah, that and 1st in an auto is ridiculous, I think the ratio is close to 4.20's. Don't quite me on that, wouldn't be surprised if I'm wrong about that 1st gear.

Standard transmissions weigh less, and suffer from less parasitic loss, than an automatic.

Thanks for the insightful post. Maybe you missed the comment asking why. Here, I quoted it again- since you missed it from the message you quoted of mine.

Since no one mentioned what I said, and someone asked, that was the reasoning.

There's more to it than just fuel efficient and fast. Most people worry about fuel last. It's not a top priority or they would have bought something else.
Because they are electric. Too quiet, no rumble under the hood. Nothing wrong with electric; if it had a range that worked for me (and price), I'd have one as my second car.

But for sport, I gotta have more cow bell!

Why keep picking out this comment out of context. It was sarcastic. Electric cars still suck and don't directly replace current gas cars.

This thread keeps veering back off course.

So what was the original topic of this post?

More sarcastic content. It's all good.

I like the new interior.
