oh I was able to do a catback magnaflow from my local exhaust shop.

Should be the same 8.8 as the older cars. I believe the only thing that changed was going from a straight axle to the IRS. The center section should be the same. It won't do you any good until you can tune the car for the gear swap to correct the speedo and trans if auto.
I am actually wondering what would be involved in possibly changing to a higher gear ratio. Hopefully to get back the MPG decrease from the 2014's V6. 2014 has a 2.73 ratio vs. the 2015's 3.15 ratio. Anyone know if the differential in the 2014 straight axle would actually be the exact same? Meaning a 2014 2.73 ring and pinion gear set could be put into a 2015 IRS axle?
How are the ring and pinions actually changed for the respective axles? Is it an accessible rear cover removal and (relatively) easily swap ring and pinion sets?
