400HP 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost

Not Bad.

From the article:
The 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine of the ‘Stang was taken to over 400 ponies and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm), which is quite a long way from the factory stock rating of 310 hp and 230 lb-ft (312 Nm).

Impressed, which that little engine is going to be a game changer, for sure. It's only going to get better from here, which someone is eventually going to slap some twins on it. I'm looking forward to when that day comes, and power figures it will produce. Being lightweight with that much power I think it'll give the GT a run for its money...

I guess we'll see how well it holds up through time. It doesn't seem ultra impressive as this has been going on with imports for some time. It is nice that it's a rwd vehicle however.

Who would put a twin setup on a 4 banger?

And the benefit would be what exactly? I've never seen that on any model ever other than those unrealistic turbo per cylinder show cars.

One turbo spools up on the low rpms. The second spools during high rpms. Thus you get boost during the entire power band

Yeah that's been used with the supra, fd3s, 300zx, 3000gt, etc but not for a 4banger; furthermore, these models listed tend to switch to single setups as well. With proper turbo pairing and tuning, one should be more than sufficient in terms of spool and top end.

No "TURBO LAG" at all

I'm talking about the twin scroll turbo that was on my Mini Cooper "JOHN COOPER WORKS" car. It had absolutely "NO turbo lag. BMW did a great job with that engine.
I have not heard of any problem with turbo lag on the 2015 4 cylinder Mustangs so I'm guessing it does not have the problem at all. (AND WITH REAR WHEEL DRIVE A MUSTANG WILL NOT HAVE TORQUE STEER ) Torque steer really sucks on a powerful turbo front wheel drive car.

^ that's kind of like two turbos fused together, and from what I've heard the 4 banger falls flat on its face after 5 grand rpms, just what I've heard...

It depends on where it redlines. If it redlined at 7k and above, it's quite considerable. Even if it's a thousand rpm, that's considerable for something that's supposed to satisfy an enthusiast base that didn't want to spring for a v8.

Yeah, around where I live, hitting 5K means you're already WAY over the speed limit, especially with these 3.55s in the EB Performance Pack.
