2015 ecoboost insurance

Im considering trading in my 2011 v6 premium convertible for a 2015 ecoboost premium coupe. I was just wondering, what does insurance usually run? Can some of you comment and let me know? Insurance provider, age, location, violations, and trim level? Just to give me an estimate.
And how has the ecoboost been for you?

It shouldn't be too far from what you have now but since it's a newer car it will probable be more. There are so many factors to consider best thing to do is find a car with options/ trim that your considering buying and call your agent. If you have an exact vin they can give you an exact quote opposed to a estimate. And most dealerships do list the vin numbers on line so you don't even have to go in to the dealership to get it

Whats weird is a 2015 5.0 is actually cheaper than what im paying now. Convertibles destroy insurance. Its cheaper by 15 a month so i would imagine that the eco would be probably 30 or even 40 less a month

Insurance doesn't always make sense. A lot depends on what area and how many claims your provider has in that area. That's one of the factors they use to determine risk. If more verts or base models had claims opposed to 5.0s then it's likely going to be cheaper.

A few years ago I was pricing insurance on a camaro and a corvette and was amazed how much cheaper the corvette was even though the cars more expensive and replacement would clearly be more

My signature shows my trade in, and current car. Insurance went down $90 / 6 months.

I love my current car. I do miss the sound of the V6 though. No issues with it so far.

R34, the only answer that will apply to you is to call your insurance agent or try playing with Geico's (or others) online quote tool.

side note: Corvettes will sometimes be cheap to insure cause they often are nice day toys driven by old guys....

If you take a peek over on a sister forum called mustang6g , you will see many Ecoboost owners that have discovered they made a mistake and are now taking a hit trading it for a 5.0. There are many happy owners but the ones who are switching were hoping the little Ecoboost would satisfy their Mustang needs and it's just not nailing it for them. There's also some peer and bystander shun from the non four banger fans.
As far as car insurance..it depends entirely on your age and where you live as well as driving record.
You'll find that in your 40's with no driving history or traffic arrests, every car you buy is about the same amount to insure. Perks of minding the rules.
