Fender badges?

I'm wondering why ford didn't come up with distinct badge for the ecoboost. I was thinking something like ST (sport turbo), PPT( performance package turbo) or just re-invent SVO. I think since this is a performance car they could have come up with a badge.
I did purchase a SVO decal to put on my trunk lip on the driver side but haven't done it even though I recently saw a pic on a 2015,it looked pretty good.I've seen the 2.3T fender badges but I'm not excited about those.

I agree. Its really silly that Ford didn't put an emblem spesifying the 4 banger model.

I am the worlds defender of the 3.7 V6 model.

That's what the decklid panel emblems do. They differentiate each model.

They do the same with the trucks as well. The 4.2 V6 models (2004 to 2008) never got any attention in the way of badging, along with the 4.6 V8's. Only the 5.4 V8 got a fender badge that announced to everyone what was under the hood.

In the 50's and up, Ford would use special badging for V8 equipped vehicles, and the 6's were unbadged.

No worries to me; I like a clean body look; think of it as a "sleeper".

I think this car is about as much of a "performance" car as the new Camaro 2.0T.
It's Ford's Eco Mustang. In today's standards, the more fuel efficient model of the three not the performance model.
A green leafy emblem is most appropriate but as the next few comments will prove, not Mustang owner friendly.

I wish you would tell my insurance company this info. My rates for the ecoboost is $50 a month less than a GT. Maybe I should have used the term sports car to your liking. May I ask what do you drive?
To be honest with you I'm enjoying this lil 4 banger a lot has all that I need, since I'm retired now and not in a hurry no more.

Ecoboost is definitely a performance model. Economy cats typically do not have 300+ hp. Scared the cap or of myself this morning when I got the tires lose on a quick get away. I would say it is a unique enough car that it deserves a badge of some kind.

Done that before. Since I installed my Bama tune my car woke up and gas mileage has improved. Yes it deserves a fender badge maybe down the road ford might do something. I also like the sleeper look too without badges.

My wife's car (and my alternate when she wants to switch) is a 2013 Fusion 2.0T. Which has 231 HP...which is more than the 1990 Mustang GT's 225 HP.
This doesn't make it a performance car.

Well as far as I'm concern it's a moot issue for me as to say what my interpretation of performance and yours is. At least we have something in common we both own a Mustang.
So maybe we can discuss something like how is the weather in New Hampshire?

Hey your not allowed to split your time defending 3.7's AND ecos. You might need to update the sig to "I am the worlds defender of all non V8 mustangs"

My wife's Cadillac SRX 3.6L 306hp can s and g, if I may say so. It's not even the sport package. Heck she might give my lil Eco mustang fits.

Just installed the 2.3 emblems on my ecoboost. the emblem is all black with the red decimal. Honestly looks sooooo much better. can't really tell in the pic but it looks awesome! It made a big difference in my opinion.

Looks very clean.

While there is something to say about having the right badging, i think the idea of a sleeper is really growing on me. I plan on squeezing out a bunch more power out of the ecoboost and i like the idea of others not knowing whether they are looking at a 4 or 6. I guess that is my evil side speaking...

Ha! Ha! Ha!

What kind of template did you use for the right placement on the fender?

I honestly just tried my best to install them. one con about the emblems that you can order they don't have any instructions or fitment tools that you can use. I used blue scotch tape to help me.

Just found the attached. Thinking about ordering the chrome w/ Red.
Mia is currently all black but I plan on adding two red stripes and I think this will fit nicely.
Thoughts?

Black would look better on the black IMO. Then the red "T" will stand out real nice.

^ I agree. I personally didn't like the letter "T" on the emblem. I just bought the regular "2.3".

That's what I would do.

What about instead of red stripes. Wrap the roof in red and spoiler and some accents on the hood. That would look sick

How would one wrap the roof if it does not come off? I have looked at maybe hood Spears. I just thought stripes would be more simple and clean looking.
I am not a fan of the stock ecoboost spoiler. I prefer the angled spoiler I have seen on the 11-14 models so a spoiler replacement is on the to do list.
