Is the tuner all you have? And also, the COBB OTS maps are pretty soft, there's probably still a bit of room left in just tuning.

I have exactly the same opinion, and I think I will go stage 2.

Explicitly, no. However if something in your engine/drivetrain breaks and Ford knows you replaced the base tune, then you're in trouble. They have to prove that the aftermarket part caused the failure to deny/void your warranty. Typically then, they would just void the warranty of the part and any part directly connected to it (i.e. your x-pipe removed cats and therefore your stock exhaust is suspect). You modifying their base ECU maps will put them in a position where they can argue that the tune and tuner caused the issue. Considering how many parts depend on your tune, that's a lot they could potentially void.

To put it simply...if you replace a stock part with an aftermarket one, Ford can't guarantee compatibility or long-term function. They have not tested that specific aftermarket part and how it functions with other stock parts (and why would they?). So they will not assume the responsibility. Changing out the part (tune) that is the brains of the operation brings everything else into question.

Yes, of course it does. If something breaks in the drive train.

That's why I am waiting for the Ford tune for this baby.
