Hey I appreciate it thanks!
My wife's best friend lives in Vermont and I could get it shipped to her house.
Wonder if I could find an installer there.
Is the tune that AM provides fine to drive it back or do I absolutely need it dyno tuned?

The CAi doesn't matter but the headers do matter. I don't know how others who installed it themselves did it, but I paid for shop install and conservative tune at 6 psi. Get procharger boost gauge. That way you'll know u did everything fine lol.
Yes I also installed one piece ds.

Now we'll have another "turd" in the v6 prochargered family lol

Sent from the future.[/I am not sure I think their basic pulley is 6-7 or even 8psi anything bigger you'll need bigger pulley... And then I am not sure how much boost v6 internals can handle etc etc. and by all means I am not car savvy at all. I did a quick Google search for ur question and several past threads from on here came up

Should have added can it run 10lbs safely on stock motor.
Probably not as I haven't seen anyone running more then 8lbs.

Well seeing how your car is boosted, you think a 3.7 could handle more then 8lbs safely on a stock internals?

BTW these quotes are all ****ed up. Not sure why.

8-10 psi is not much boost. However...on an engine that isn't made for boost high cylinder pressure, I would assume that 10psi would shorten the life of the car considerably.

That's what I worry about is longevity. Seems like these engines are great with Bolt ons but boost on the other hand is another story. People that have Procharged their 3.7s seem to be running fine now, it's 4 years from now I worry about. But then again there is always some risk when boosting.

Even the new ecoboost cars are having issues when people are upping the boost. Me personally, I wouldn't touch a car unless it was paid off. I didn't do s pulley swap on mine until I paid the last payment.

If this is the case then why do people say the Eco has more potential then the 3.7?

It's all relative on how much money you want to spend. It you're budget is unlimited then your usually better to start with more displacement. But if you only have 2-3grand to spend the Eco boost has a lot more potential then a 3.7.

Well there are 700whp Ecoboost Mustangs out there and ones running in the mid 10s with full interiors and stock convertors. It ain't cheap to get there but folks are doing it. The guy with the 10 sec car I mentioned has about $15k in the motor.

I think the biggest advantage the 2.3 Ecoboost has over the 3.7 v6 is the amount of aftermarket support for the 2.3. There are already aftermarket blocks, rods, cranks and pistons available to support big HP builds.

Just like the Mopar 2.4 in the Neon SRT4 the Ecoboost will get to 900whp in extreme builds.

True, a $500 tune will get an Ecoboost Mustang very close to 12 sec in the 1/4.

It has more potential for sure. But there have been a lot of failures when raising the boost on stock internals on these cars.

You spend less money to make more power in the Eco, plus the companies that make parts for established 4 bangers such as the WRX, ST/RS, etc also have interest in the EB set up.

The V6 didn't have this amount of support because companies focused their efforts and R&D for the Coyote.

I'm also concerned about the 3.7s future in the Ford line up. I'm afraid it's days are numbered.😑
