What trim?

Okay so i have decided to trade my 2014 v6 for either a 2016 v6 or 2016 EcoBoost.

I work at ford so i get a discount so I'm taking advantage of it.

So i need help deciding what car do get. Any advantage the ecoboost has over the v6 or what advantages does the v6 have over the ecoboost?

I mean no offense by this but if you work at Ford shouldn't you know?

the eco-boost will be easier to get more power out of it.

the V6 has more power potential (but at a high cost)

I assume the V6 will be phased out

The V6 is simpler to this Industrial Mechanic simple is often better.

You know about the V6 only being base model so I assume that doesn't matter.

Gas will be the same.

Neither is a V8.

Have you driven both? If not try that 1st

This post was for people who own the cars, i can only drive them so many times. I want to know how they drive on a daily basis.

Strange mud basically laid out the advantages of both. At the end of the day there is very little difference between them stock for stock (unless you get into upgraded options that can be purchased with the Eco).

I assume you get A plan working for ford so while it's a good deal me personally would never trade in my 14 v6 for a 15-16 v6 as there isn't much of a difference. Also I believe that with A plan the discount is greater the more options the car had as a total percentage of MSRP. So if I were you I would custom order the car as you want since A plan isn't negotiable.

I traded in an '06 GT for a '16 eco boost. The eco boost is an auto, premium, with performance pack. As stock I think it is a little quicker than the old car, certainly up to 100. If you run the eco boost on premium gas the performance is good. I put a Cobb tune in the car, and it really brings the car alive. So far so good, i think maybe I should have got a stick shift, as the car isn't quite as involving as the old one. As far as options go, try and listen to the shaker with and without the subwoofer upgrade, without the subwoofer I think Ford has dropped the ball, it is weak. I have 7500 miles on the car, and my gut feeling is it is a quality car.
