I drove my RS1 with the Roush performance tune a good bit this weekend. I stayed in normal mode. YES the Roush tune made a big change in how the car launches and performs.

I even tried to do a timed 1/4 mile but still need to figure out the track apps.

My friend installed a bama tune on his ecoboost and I couldn't even tell the difference from stock. He switched to Lund and damn what a difference! Also he took the car to a speed shop with the bama tune on and they said they were surprised the engine didn't blow up it was so bad.

Still no times here yet but the Bama race tune and performance tune both rock. Reading about mikey's friend above makes me wonder was there a physical tuner issue there. Even the performance tune on my eco is a night and day improvement over stock. Just to be clear for folks without a tune, when I say night and day difference, I'm not just saying that for some figurative reference. I mean, it takes the car from "sporty" to feeling like a whole different car. First time with the race tune, I was bewildered because the car in two minutes became silly fast.

Hello

So my car has been upgraded to the Roush RS1 power reflash with the Roush CAI.

Here is the situation.

I purchased the BAMA tunes for life for the RS1 before I stumbled into the free performance upgraded for the 2015 RS1 from Roush.

I am thinking about checking the difference between the two tunes so I will take my tuner and save my factory tune (Roush tune) and retune with the Bama Performance tune. I can give both a try.

Thoughts?

I'd love to hear about this if you are still around? Looking to purchase a Bama Tuner this weekend!

The Track Apps is awesome! I swear by it! Its so accurate, its hard for me to imagine going back to Sacramento Raceway, and their $50 dollar entrance fee for the 4hr Test And Tune!

I use it after every little mod! Like for instance, when I got my racing wheels, I pulled a 1.9 60ft and a 5.9sec 0 to 60!

Track Apps is real easy to use!

1. Go to track Apps
2. Select Acceleration Timer
3. Select 1/4 mile
4. Select Automatic start
5.it then shows Press Start to begin
6. Press start nd you have 5 seconds to launch
7. Push in the clutch
8. Rev to 5000rpm then dump the clutch! Make sure Traction Control is On, it really works!

After you finish the run, come to a complete stop! GI to View/Clear results!
Got back to Acceleration Timer and view your results! It will save your best run!

I love Ford for Track Apps!

Dodge also use Track Apps! Theirs even shows the peak HP And Torque! They don't need a dyno!

Once you get your results, go to Google, and type in (ET Calculator).

Scroll down to the link that starts with adj! The standard weight for an Ecoboost is 3800lbs! Thus includes a 200lbs driver, and 1/2 tank of gas!

The. ET calculator shows power to the ground! To get Flywheel HP just multiply your power to the ground by .15! Example my power to the ground stock is 262rwhp! That means I'm making 301 Flywheel HP!

This is because I'm using 91 octane! Those of you using 93 octane should be close to 310Flywheel HP!

If you want to know your Torque, calculate your Flywheel HP, then go to Google and type in Torque Calculator!

Enter your Flywheel HP, and enter 5000rpm, hit Calculate and you will get your TQ! To get TQ to the ground, again just multiply your TQ by .15!

Its a Spicer Drive train calculator!
