I'm trying to find my window sticker on that. Stock is a 3.15, which would require basically an entirely new rear end, but for some reason I'm remembering my window sticker saying 3.31 and the salesman saying it was different. I'll probably end up contacting ford over it as I think I may have lost my info in the move.
What other changes would I need to make other than shift points and speedo correction that a tune couldn't take care of?
If you bought a loaded rear, then it's complete. Axle shafts same across all engines/trans/ratios. There is a difference in pinion flanges between auto and manual. If you where changing ring gear only from 3.15 to 3.55, then you would need new diff as well.
Not much of a change , hardly gonna notice a differance , can you go 3:73 , I went from 2:7 some thing to 3:55 & wish I went 373s, might want to think about if its gonna be worth the change
Probably going to hold off the gearing upgrade for a bit. Took a hit from some road debris and these aluminum hoods are expensive as hell to fix. But when I do it, I'm definitely going to look at 3.73 as an option.
