I thought the EcoBoost Mustang ran high 13's from the factory? and with just a tune was running high 12's. I guess I was wrong

No you are not wrong. A stock Ecoboost Mustang is quite capable of dipping into the 13's with the right driver with the right conditions. It has been documented many many times.

Getting to the 12s is going to take more than just a tune but is certainly doable with bolt ons.

Hello! I'm running 91 octane! The Ecoboost which can run a 13.9ET is running 93 octane!

With just a tune, it depends on how much boost the tune uscsllowed to produce! The stock turbo is hood for an 11.03ET @ 121mph! Done by Jon Lund! The famous mustang tuner!

Also David! For the Ecoboost turbo to make more power requires a tune which supports higher boost maps with a handheld tuner!

I ran a 14.3ET with a 2.2 60ft! My best 60ft is 1.9 seconds! But on that run I had to scrub do to traffic conditions! A 1967 428 Cobra Jet runs 14.1 ET! The Ecoboost is capable to match and beat it! The fastest stock Ecoboost without a tune or bolt ons runs a 13.9ET!

So don't worry!!

David one more piece of info!

The stock Ecoboost is faster than a 1993 SVT Cobra and also faster than a 2004 Mach 1 mustang!

That's high praise for the stock Ecoboost!!

Oh yeah! The Ecoboost is faster stock than all forms of stock Foxbody Mustang's! These can s weigh 3050lbs without the driver!
Yep! The Ecoboost eats Foxbodies and several SN95 GT's!

That's why its considered the best mustang Eve made!
