need help asap!

I recently changed my back brake pads. Well after I did it started making a loud roaring sound like a semi truck makes when it hits it's brakes. I changed the whole caliper and it's still doing it. It starts about 5 minutes into driving. If I press the brake pedal it stops but continues when I release it and smells like it's burnt when I come to a complete stop

Can you give more info? One side, both sides, did you replace the anti-rattle clips and apply high temp grease to the backs of the pads and all sliding surfaces?

Sounds like a frozen caliper, but we'll need more info to help you out. How did you get the pistons back into the caliper? They need to be screwed in with a tool.

It's only on one side, the passenger side. The guy who fixed it said he believes the piston isn't going back in when I release the brake. What does that mean and how do I fix it?

Could very well be. Was that the caliper that was replaced?

If your guy didn't use the right tool to screw the piston back in, it could be stuck.
