From what I gathered, You really cant go wrong with BAMA's set ups but I've read that MPT are better when it comes to fine tunning the car but that is all based on opinions.

I have yet to tune my beast but when I can it'll be by MPT (More Power Tunning)

BAMA and MPT are both good for Email Tunes.
Lund Performance are good for Dyno Tunes.

I have a V8 and have tried BAMA and MPT. equally happy with both. You do realize the can of worms you are opening lol! Tunes and undocumented lore is a huge thing on here. Doubt my 2 cents helps since it is a V8 but I can say both companies are awesome. I would do AM if just starting a build though because *** you add the free tunes for life are a huge plus

Steeda has a free tune update program as well. Their customer support has always been impeccable.

Proving to my fellow racers that the disdain that some GT drivers have for V6 drivers is unfounded, one results archive at a time since 2013.

Can't argue that!

Yes, our tunes are written to be safe, powerful & reliable - we won't claim to offer the most HP but we will claim safety & stand behind our tune 100%.

Best Regards,

TJ

^^^ This.

Steeda's outstanding customer support has made me a customer for life and that is not an easy thing for me to say.

I have been very happy with my CAI and tune from Steeda.

Safety? Bama sounds like your choice as long as your setup doesn't get too complicated.

Hard not to go with Steeda after a statement like this!

Let me know if I can help assist with a tune you can email me at tim@steeda.com.

If you get a canned tune, Steeda is the only way to go. If you are by their shop in Florida they also have a couple of really badass legit dyno tuners working for them. At least one of them has his own remote tuning business on the side (James) and just talking to him for a few emails and a phone call he was SO helpful and knowledgeable. Basically told me exactly how to setup my blow thru Novi system without even asking for a dime. I will 100% be getting him to burn me a startup tune and then doing some datalogging to get dialed in.

I wouldn't say Steeda is the only way to go but definitely a good option. I personally have Steeda, MPT and Bama tunes. Steeda is not my favorite of my tunes but a good, solid choice. I prefer my Bama tune and shift points over the Steeda tune. I prefer my MPT tune best over Bama and Steeda.

With that said, I would recommend first Bama tunes and then add a MPT tune to ones tune arsonnel.

I said for a canned tune. If I was getting a V6 tuned it would be MPT all the way.

Scotty is making sense. James is the one who trained most of the Steeda guys and he is one of the top dogs in Fl and around the country for that matter. You can find him by searching for his website. Tuning by James. He use to work directly for SCT. The guy is no joke. Couldn't be happier with my results.

Can the common Joe apply one of these tunes? Does this void the existing warranty? Which of the tuners are the best/safest/most gains? One tuner claimed a 50hp increase.

1. Must be able to read and follow instructions.
2. Voids the warranty on any item that can be blamed on the tune.
3. Best is a matter of opinion. Safest and most gains would generally not be thought of as going hand in hand. But there are a lot of good and bad comments that can be found, if you don't mind searching.

Thanks Diehard, I think I'll just wait it out and enjoy the car as is, still lots of warranty left and plenty of power for me. I use strictly 93 octane, at $2.10 a gallon why not?

I've done BAMA, Brenspeed, and MPT.

MPT is hands-down the best tune I've used. It's like a completely different car. MPT all the for me.

What brand of tune did you end up going with? I'm currently trying to decide between a Bama and a MPT.
