Mach 6 CD problems?

So I just bought my new 03 mustang convertible and the dealership tested everything for me. I'm just curious if anyone else has had problems with the CD player. I hit the CD button to switch it over and it says no CD. So I hit load and it says initlializing and then goes back to the radio. If I hit eject it says NO CD. There isn't a cd in there. Just curious if anyone knows a solution to get it to work? I got a warranty on the car and just wanna know if it's something I can fix so I can be jamming to my CDs or if I have to have them replace it, or just get an aftermarket one.

It is almost uncommon for the Mach 460/1000 systems not to have issues. My 460 6 disc went out on my 03 five years ago. I had the same symptoms you are having.
I took the head unit out and tried to fix the loading mechanism but I never got it to work.

I bought an Ipod/mp3 adapter that uses the radio. I would suggest going that route or installing an aftermarket head unit.

My Mach 1 also has the 460 6 disc but it still works. I think they wear out based on usage.

Also, welcome to the site! Nice to see another Wisconsinite join.
