Headers and catted X Pipe

I have a 2006 Mustang GT. I am considering putting on long tube headers with a catted X Pipe. Does anyone have a recommendation on brand and also, what work would have to be done with the 02 sensors?

Headers and catted X Pipe

We installed a pair longtubes and Catted X pipe from BBK. Had issues with the passenger O2 sensor, needed an extension. Plus fitment was a little difficult.
I plan on getting Kooks set up for both of my 3Vs.

Thanks for getting back to me. I was on American Muscle and they had a thread there also. Someone said that they had a real difficult time getting Kooks on their Mustang so let me know how it goes with yours.

Did you have to do a tune after installing the catted X Pipes. I would assume most likely yes, but would like to know for sure.

Headers and catted X Pipe

You can. Is it mandatory? No.
Off-road mid pipe - Yes, always yes
Longtubes - Yes
Before we installed the longtubes and LT Catted X pipe; he had one for the stock manifolds. Didn't tune it. Should he? Yes, the stock tune on the 3V are meh. A tune will wake them up.

Headers and Catted X Pipes

So, I'm taking from your reply that if I am planning on putting long tube headers on my car with catted x pipe, I will need a tune. If so, does anyone have a suggestion on what brand of tuner to get? Perhaps a recommendation on a cold air intake also.
Thanks.

Don't do bbks. At the cheapest get a set of Jbas for headers. Get a tuner from Vmp and if you want a CAI get the one that you like the appearance of the best. I have the Jlt Series 3

I have BBK's and IMO there great. Fit was great, install a ***** but all headers are on the 197 at least. I get a lot of compliments on the look of my headers and certainly the sound.

When it comes to the long tube headers, which ones are the worst for road clearance. I've heard some are ridiculously low and hard to get over even the smallest speed bump. I am planning on lowering the car also so if anyone responds, please take that into consideration. I saw a Mustang with 1/3" lowering springs on it and thought it looked pretty good so that may be the way I go. He said he went Eidlebrock.
