Odd Idling

So I purchased this car certified used with 50k. Recently did an oil change at 55K.

Lately the idle has been acting up. On cold start, idle starts at 1200. After 30 seconds, I hear an audible drop. At first the car would drop to around 800. However it's slowly progressing lower (almost 500). I'm worried it'll stall out. It also has developed a slight lope in the idle.

The car is bone stock engine wise.

Doesn't a Certified used car come with a warranty?

It does. Just hoping that if something is wrong, I can fix it myself. Don't want to take it in and leave it for a few days if I don't have to.

I'm far from an expert but reading about this stuff would lead me to checking into possibly cleaning and checking your Idle air control valve and throttle body.
Here's a YouTube video explaining the fundamentals. You may find something specific to your Mustang.

check air filter/mayhap clean throttle body. Also look up idle-relearn in the manual and try that.

Thanks guys. I haven't been able to find any solid info on whether the 3.7 has an idle control valve. I know it was a common culprit in older models. New air filter and intake tube are on the way soon. Will check the throttle body while everything is apart.

Tried an idle-relearn process I saw on Youtube. Seemed to fix the issued. The next morning, things were back to normal. Going to just go ahead and have Ford take a look.

Well did you get it looked at? What's the outcome?

Odd Idling

If it's under warranty take it in its probably the throttle body. Just had to get one replaced on one of our new Transit vans with the 3.7
