ID:	240938[/IMG]. Hi fellow Fordies, I am looking to purchase a new stereo/Bluetooth/nav unit for my 98GT. I want in-dash to fit the exact space of old one. Any good suggestions? Please post any pics so I can get a sense of what yours looks like.

Much appreciated 😎

I have the factory Stereo & CD unit. I just bought the DIN tools to extract and basically want to do a str8 swap for new Bluetooth stereo

Crutchfield is the best. On most vehicles if you buy a stereo you get the install gear free or deeply discounted

Factory as in Mach 460? Mach 1000? Only ask because integrating an aftermarket head unit into those systems can be problematic....

The Mach 1000 has two big subs in the trunk and a rack of 4 amps. Can't miss them. Not sure how to identify the Mach 460.

There are only two amps with the 460 and no subs in the trunk. That is the only difference I can think of at the moment.

Don't think the 1000 came in anything prior to the later New Edges, I could be wrong. Crutchfield sells all the conversion harnesses you need even for the Mach its plug and play now. People rag on the Mach system all the time but tbth its not bad at all for someone who isn't an audiophile and likes to turn the system off the listen to exhaust as much as music.

Now... if you have a non-mach car (better for someone putting in a "system") you'll want to bypass the little factory amp and just run off the headunit power even without any aftermarket amp. The factory basic amps are that ****ty.

Actually 4. 2 - 60 watt and 2 - 85 watt.

This is a pretty good break down.

Mach 460 Information

Now I'm curious to know where the 60 watt amps are located.
