run in with 05 stang

w00t saw her going north on 99. that metallic tanish silver color. i got next to it, very casual but i was feeling like a little kid inside seeing my first 05. i get next to her, and its a her, kinda young but the windows mustve had like a 15% tint cause i couldnt tell other than that. now dammit figures the first 05 run in id be in the thunderterd, but i was willing. and so was she, it only took me a good blip of the gas to get her into it. so i hit it, the tbird downshifted into 2nd and roared to life, the 05 crept ahead, slid into 3rd ever so smooth and by that time the 05 was about a car ahead. then my exit was coming(figures) so i had to throttle down and mark up yet another tbird loss.

the only thing that sucks is i have no idea to tell if its a V6 or GT. there were no badging whatsoever(trust me i looked franticly before i had to merge), so im pretty sure i got spanked by a 6, cause theres no way the bird kept up with a gt like that.

i have to admit, they look better in person, but still not better than a 99-04. now ill have to swing by the dealer and see if i can get me a little test drive.

I test drove a Red 05 GT on friday. Quite a nice car! It just needs gears (badly) It has good power up top, but felt like a dog off the line.

Hmmm, I guess that is how they figure they don't need more than 235/45/17 Pirelli tires on the GT...I looked at a nice blue one at the local dealer, didn't try for a test drive, not about to trade, no way man, owe about 14 still on my vert! Makes me wonder how she is geared, heard she was heavier.

Thats weird, i saw one for the first time 2 yesterday when i went to huntsville. This black one had passed by going down a hill close to sam houston state university. Man it looked badass...except for the back, but the front looks so good.

yeah i figured it was a v6, the bird ran a 15.9 at the track, and this stangs looked like it couldve been mid to low 15's, thus a six. had i been in the eclipse it wouldnt have been a race, but had i been in the eclipse and it been a GT i think id get raped, seeing as that theyre a good 100hp more on me.

i saw a red one earlier today when i was driving with my cousin. i said "look a new stang" and he looked and got this confused look, "umm where?", "that red car in the gas station". "umm thats no stang", "yes its the new 05's". "eww", i laughed when he said that, he used to be a big stang guy too, but he has since gone to the dark side of honduhs.

how is that possible? i mean go from a car that is some what fast to a dog. i mean even a v6 will keep up with most any honda. and should take any of them off a line.

well he had a 74 mustang2 like mine, except his was a 2.8V6, and whoever had it before him totally race prepped that 6er, so it was pretty ballsy. he wanted a 97ish cobra, but bought his 96 eclipse gs instead. now he wants a hatch to do a B20 with a gsr head(its super Vtec, its got the bottom end torque of a crv, cause the b20 is the crv block, but has the top end vtec kick), cause all his honda guys at work have the B20Vtec motors and are claiming 13 second passes. i call major bs, enough to bet money that even the tbird would whoop them, people think VTEC is a power adder, when all it does is tune the top end to allow better a/f mix from 5.5k-8k. basically a mini tuning, its like 8hp at most on a stock engine. silly kids. but yes the dark side has him, he thinks a B20Vtec with typeR cams and H/I/E combo with an estimated 180hp will whoop my 13 second turbo setup, on all motor. i was like "please *****, we got a guy with that same 16g im getting and a little more mods that walked a SS from a 70-140 roll, and its on camera with actual proof, show me proof of 13second all motor hondas"

Depends if your washing my shorts or not, lol.

It's good, they are sharper in person than in pictures and I thought the pictures were pretty sharp.
