Keep the stick i will take an auto every time. The truth is all the heavy hitters run built automatic trans. not saying a street car with a stick isnt fun to drive. but like some of the other guys said when its time to get down to some serious racing people go with an auto. I owned both and I power **** my auto when I race so I guess I have the best of both worlds except i have NEVER misssed or grinded a gear. Miss a gear loose the race. I have won a few races because peole have dumped the clutch too hard or bogged their engine off the line. Rev up to stall just as the tire spins back off, on the third yellow remove the break and smash the gas. You cant go wrong.

i run a 13.7 no secrets here. I hope it will be a close race. But i never raced another v6 Mustang that even came close. I would gladly loose to a fellow 6er. I would love to check out how you make your ride go fast. Plus i think my sn95 wiighs a little more than you . Think its worth lining up? or are you a 12 sec ride?

You must be blown or something? Do you have any dyno sheets? Also, I should be a little fast by time summer comes around. I should have another 20-30hp I hope at least.

ati pro charger 11 lbs boost ,long tube headders, 373 posi 7.5 , 2600 stall on my aode. I run on Street tires and have a "safe tune" on my chip. pete did my chip at ford chip. I think i can run low 13s with slicks. If i launch too hard i spin bad and 2nd gear rips a 8-10 ft posi patch. Car weighs like 3865 pluss my 200 lbs. i run on a 1/3 tank of 93 octane. Rest is all stock 3.8 2001 v6 Mudtang down to the stock rims and hood. you all natural or run some juice? ( if i may ask) if its a secret i understand.

Ya, no secrets, I'm all engine. No juice or blower for me. I weight with me in the car about 3350. Maybe a little less. I removed a little weight. If you wanna see my mods you can click on the link in my sig. I do all my own tuning and everything. That's one of my secrets.

are you stick or auto? judging from your 60 ft and 1/8 mi and 343 gear i put you at a 14.5-14.6. that is very impressive for all motor. I had a 3;43 and went to a 3;73. strong 2 tenths drop. I would recomend it.

I have a 5-speed. And I won't really go by those 1/8 mile times. The track was dirty and slippery. And I'm looking to go to 3.73's but I wanna do a 8.8 swap with the 3.73's already in them.

my 7.5 is still in my car. are you going over 350 hp? i would say mabey around 375 400 hp an 8.8 is worth not breaking. *.8 is better but the 7.5 when set up professionally does ok.

Right, but the 7.5 is weaker than the 8.8 for obvious reasons. And besides if I can find an 8.8 with the gear already in them, it would cost me the same amount to buy the rear end as it would to have the gears installed in my rear.

not trying to argue but that is the housing with out axels and brakes. 8.8 axels have a different spline and 8.8 brakes are larger and better. Correct me if im wrong but dont you need axels. if you use the 7.5 axels in an 8.8. ( i heard it can be done match the spline to the carrier.)axels are some $. are you sure dollar for dollar its the same?
I got a 373 with an auburn carrie (posi) installed with parts for about 600.00 at Rob Espos automotive. I may be misunderstanding the whole thing. have you priced axels for the 8.8 and brakes? NO Doubt the 8.8 is better!!! is the cost REALLY the same? Im confused!!!!

8.8 axles have the same spline, 28. Maybe your thinking of 31 spline axles which are diffeent and expensive. Also, i'm not gonna go buy a brand new rear-end, i'm holding out for ebay to come through. Also, 8.8 brakes are the same as the 7.5. I think you're confused with the cobra which have 13" rotors instead of the 11" ones we have. The only reason you need bigger brakes is if you have bigger rotors. The GT and V6 use the same front and rear brake setup.
