I gotta work that into a computer so I can run my car off a quick boot computer and control fuel/air ratio and such. Gonna be cool when I finish.

Yup, exact same $1150 one. The place I took it quoted the insurance the price to replace the exhaust, and so I get the same one. Woohoo!!

1150 for an exhaust? for that price that **** better be made of gold. or do you mean 1150 to replace the stock exhaust, cause i know mitsu replacement parts are very pricey. one day i was bored and called them to see how much a stock t-25 replacement was, its 3,150!!!!!!!! FOR A DAM MINI HAIR DRYER!!!!!!!!! i wonder how many stupid ubernorks actually buy stuff through them.

waste of money in my eyes...stainless to me is still overkill, aluminized will last 7-10 years depending on where you live and the conditions you drive it, i can be 75% of us wont have these cars in 10 years...so who cares if the exhaust lasts that long?

it wasnt the lasting effects that got me to get the solid titanium. (Yes, I bought the exhaust for $720 used guys, and the price where my car is getting fixed is 1150, so insurance is paying that amount).

Anyway - reason 1:
the whole cat-back system weighs 9lbs. That means the box and popcorn packing stuff weighed more than my exhaust when I got it. The stock cat-back weighs over 40lbs. that right there is a free 30lbs weight savings out of a mod I was going to do anyway.

reason 2: sound. Titanium resonates louder than stainless steel. Thus the exhaust I have is the loudest exhaust you can find without paying Oogles of money to import something Japn and be Ti (around $2k).

reason 3: Greddy uses metric system. With a turbo, the larger the exhaust, the better. There are 2.5" and 3" systems out. This is an 80mm system which correlates to 3.14". This makes great performance gains due to the extra space.

reason 4: not as important as reasons 1, 2, or 3, but I love titanium. some people love carbon fiber, others love brushed aluminum, etc. I love titanium. My watch is made out of it, my exhaust, various other personal stuff is titanium.

So when I bought it for $720, it was well worth it. Stainless catbacks go for 500-800, so I decided to spend a little more and get something louder, lighter, and freer-flowing.

i always heard even 3" is overkill unless youre making some 500hp. and i hate having loud exhaust, mine is really quiet, and even when i get on it it roars but still isnt as loud as most of the other turbo eclipses ive heard, and i like it like that. the only car i want a loud exhaust on would be a 5.0 or a 4.6, cause nothing beats the rumble or roar of a 8.

on N/A applications. Smaller diameter piping increases velocity which creates a negative pressure (suction) that draws the exhaust out of the engine and headers.

on FI cars, 19psi = 19psi out. it will come out under it's own pressure due to the blower. With a turbo, you can run a 5" exhaust with no ill effects. Just remember, I also have a single exhaust and not duals. On a v6 stang, you can run a single 2.5" - 3" exhaust instead of duals.

so then technically then while the car is idle and reading 15 on the vacuum side on youre gauge your hand would be sucked in the exhaust?

no, but the engine is sucking all the air it needs. the boost guages reads how much air is forced into the engine. so it is sucking 15psi of air to keep it idling. But at idle, you are not needing performance gains thru the exhaust. You are worried about peak hp gain and that is done under full boost from the blower. ie. 19psi
