Rubbing Alchohol

My friend has a old foxbody with some ok paint on it but it has horrible waterspots on it. He used rubbing alchohol on a lil spot to see if it hurt the paint . He was wondering what yall thought about it and if i would hurt it in the long run.

I know that alcohol will take the wax coating off.. to apply stuff like decals etc.. but not sure about the paint itself. I would hope not due to putting it on to install decals on mine.

why not just get a simple claybar and not worry at all about messing up the paint?

I personally wouldnt ever use rubbing alchohol. When I got my fox I just gave it a quick claybar/wax treatment and the paint came out marvoulous
