Honda vs Mitsu jobs

I am trying to get a job selling cars because i need more money than waiting tables allows. Anyway, I went out today and have a job offer pending background check and drug test from Honda and Mitsu. Acura seemed very interested as I talked to 4 managers and they said they would let me know on Thurs. The honda and acura dealers are part of the same group so they can run the test, but if I get them done now, I will have to work for Honda and not Acura.

Should I wait for Acura's answer on thursday, or say **** it and go ahead with honda's tests. Mitsu is running their own checks on me.

Since I should pass both the background check and drug test for each company, who should i work for? Mitsubishi or Honda and why?

mitsu so you dont kill some kid walking into the honda dealership looking to buy a "12 second honda"

here in SA mistu dealers are alot nicer than the hondas too.

New car salesman eh?

Honda outsells Mitsubishi by quite a bit. With Honda, you will sell more Accords, for a better price than you will Diamantes or whatever at Mitsubishi.

Hondas sell themselves, Mitsu has maybe one car that can sell itself (and you know from experience)

IMO, you will be pushing a better product to a broader clientel making your commissions higher.

id say honda cause you can sell a ****load of them to even the stupidest people.

but mitsu would be good too cause you can get people to buy a evo by taking them for a ride in yours, also things like the montero and the newer galants are big sellers. right now the #1 mitsu dealer in the country is about 4 blocks away from my house, they move in upwards of 300 cars a month with 27 salesman.

Go honda, you'll have the potential to sell more vehicles.

car sales 99.9% of the time blow.... i have counted TONS of sales guys come and go very very fast... if you get on at a good dealership you may do ok.... but dont by anymeans expect alot of money right at the start cuz its doubtful you will probably make less... (going by what my girlfriend makes a week at the resturant where she works)

and remember, one month you may make 5g's in comission, the next you could make nothing. my freind went into bankruptcy over that, made 4g one month, bought an integra, system for it, kit, paint, planned to do big mods the next month, then that month came and nothing, barely enough to pay bills, then the next nothing and so forth. the integra was repoed and he moved in with his grandparents.

but then again he worked at kia. nuff' said.

If people will just be smart with their money and not buy stuff they know they may not have money for they'd be ok. That's why I really don't like going into debt...glad my baby's paid off now..she's mine forever lol

Well, if they wouldn't buy a $30k SUV and make the $200 a month car payments and then rack up over 100k miles on it and then realize before the car is even payed off that's worth nothing, it'll wouldn't seem that bad.

I think I am going to go Honda and not wait for Acura. The mitsu dealer here isnt that big and heck, it still has an 03 evo (05s are already out) that it cant get off it's lot. The honda dealer will be easier to sell and I will get more volume out of a big honda dealership . Plus my friend is about to buy a civic, so that is a free sale

I wouldn't mind doing a car dealership gig if I had another job and the car dealership one was just something I did once a week or something lol

I'd wanna work at a Ford dealership right now, making gabs of money off the 05s
