Never Again

Yeah so yesterday we had our first snow storm of the year. This has to be the earliest EVER we had snow fall in CT. ABout 5-6 inches fell. So earlier in the night before it became a steady snow fall my buddies were like come on it isnt bad out there its still raining, come over we are having a gathering. So whatever I head out cause I wanna get smoke on. Not till I leave his place at 2:30 am I see all this snow nice and untouched there.

Man let me tell ya it was the first and last time Im ever trying my 5.0 in the snow. I had two close calls one towards a telephone pole and the next towards a fire hydrant. NEVER again.

I need to pick up my beater and put away the stang Im never taking such a chance again.

Thats my rant thank you :pancake:

I'm scared ****less.

This is going to be my first winter with my Stang.

I don't wanna die.

Can anybody recommend some good, cheap winter tires?

I reccomend two things A. putting weight in your trunk
B. Buy some Goodyear Blizzaks Best snow tire out there period.

I drove my V6 like that two years ago and honestly had no issues even going up hill.

Yeah snow sucks sometimes but you know what I would hate to live down south where the big thing is hurricanes and warm weather all the time. Thats boring sometimes.

At least ill be out snowmobiling and snowbogging while you southerners are complaining that its 60 and its freezing (like my sister does she lives down in FL)

yeah, I'm definitely gonna be putting a lot of weight in back.

But I'm worried about my tires, I've got Kuhmo Ecsta 711's....they are an adventure even in the rain, I can't imagine how they'll be in snow.

Luckily, all the roads I'll be driving on to go to school and work are pretty major ones so they should be plowed pretty well.

I hope.

Snow is one thing, but ice or black ice ( no pun intended ) is another.

the passed couple yrs here in Greenville, SC has been really odd with the amount of snow and ice we have seen, I would have to agree with the global warming comment!

I fear no snow that comes in my way and drive in to the valley of open parking lots freely at my own will

Rain and snow aint the same thing sorry. Theres alot of dumbass drivers out there who react to both of these conditions like a blind man. Its sad I tell ya

I know they're not the same thing, but if every time it rains you spend your days kicking your tail out, trying to power slide, trying to spin out then recover, WOT as often as possible, then drive slowly and cautiously in the snow you should have minimal problems. Practice makes perfect y'know ...

know what's worse than a stang in the snow? a 2WD V8 97 F150, short cab long bed.. now those are rediculous in the snow.. you can't even get moving haha

(p.s. also know the roads around here are mostly straight with minimal hills, so that could play a factor in the scary-in-snow clause)

Snow? Isn't that something them Northeners are always yelling about. "I got snowed in today" and ****... I've been driving around with the windows down all week. Feels so good here. I think I may break out a coat next time I go out a 4 in the morning though, 45 is a little cold for shorts and short sleeves lol
