Harry Potter is awesome. He got millions of kids reading.

And... You'd rather our children be like Japanese ones... Ever heard of Pokemon? Digimon? Yu-Gi-Oh? ... Just where do you think all that crap came from?

Maybe your tirade on HP would be more credible if you could spell, punctuation and properly construct a sentence. Or are you the example not to follow?

But.. in pokemon and all those other things they are encouraging kids to bring up their self esteem by going out, meeting new people, and all that jazz.

Harry Potter.... is about magic and things.. I know reading is great and all, you read when you play games Gotta know the performance parts of my cars in NFSU2, gotta read up for my RPG's, my strategy games, etc. . . . . . .

I say it's just a movie...everyone tries to make a big deal out of it and it just isn't worth it. It's a freaking movie, and some books. It encourages kids to get out and read.

I like the movie series and the books have encouraged millions to read. There is nothing wrong with movie's about magic unless you want to say all of Disneys classics are also bad

Wake up America!!! We have bigger problems than Harry Potter BY GOD!!!!

My problem with Disney is everything they throw into their cartoons, the hidden meanings, the hidden pictures, the hidden words thrown in. If disney would just make freaking videos and cartoons it'd all be good.

They have witches, spells, demons, magic, etc..etc..etc..

My 'little darlings' don't need to be exposed to that stuff.

But then again, we don't recognize Halloween, Santa, the Tooth Fairy either.

They can't watch most of the stuff on regular TV, none of the cartoons. They have never seen SpongeBob, Simpsons, Dragontales.

They don't know who Pokemon, Digimon, or Yu-Gi-Oh is.

There is nothing hidden in the old classics like Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Snow White and the rest. Now with their new stuff I rent it before I buy it. Things changed when the Disney family lost control of the company. My problem with Dinsey now is if you take the success they have had with the partnership with Pixar out of the picture they would have had little success.

NO SpongeBob ???? What the hell

I dont let my kids watch the fighting stuff like Power Rangers but I have no problem with them seeing make believe in a movie. Imagine is a wonderful thing for kids. The classic Disney always pitted good and evil against each other with Evil always losing. They had a moral to them. Be good and you will prevail.

You want to know what is wrong with Halloween, Adults!!!! Adults have ruined it. When I was a kid I dressed up and went and got candy. I never wore devils or evil characters. But now it is big business and it is tied into movies which have created and bounty of Gouls and Gore to the costumes. Adults have made it unsafe because of the sicko's out there. I see nothing wrong with handing out candy. My 2 kids were dressed up as Cinderella and Spiderman.

My kids believe in Santa and I like it that way. But My kids are totally aware christmas is about the birth of Jesus. My son is 7 and in a after school christian program that has daily homework not only his regular homework. My 7 yr old leads us in dinner prayer every night.
