I agree w/ the candlebox and collective soul, I didn't care much for the the others. Even though I'm not that old, I'm still big into 80's and 90's music. That's one reason I have SIRIUS!! They have an all Rock 80's station. It's called HairNation. Completely awesome. They play lots of Scorpions, Metallica, Megadeth, Skid Row, White Snake, and whoever else you can think of. You know your typical rock bands. Then they have Octane which play stuff like Smashing Pumpkins, White Zombie, Ozzy. Well you get the point.

I've been listening to a lot of forgotten songs and bands recently too. On saturday mornings, one of the local stations has the Vintage Vault. Definitely brings back some memories. Tripping Daisy, The Breeders, Local H, list goes on. PUSA are coming to town here in Bham December 1st. I definitely plan to go. I saw them YEARS ago and it was an awesome show.

how bout some good drinkin songs:

David Allen Coe - The Perfect Country And Western Song. (im not sure if thats actually the name of it, but if you limewire that, youll find it!)

"Well I was drunk the day my mom got outta prison.
And I went to pick her up in the rain.
But before i could get to the station in my pickup truck.
She got runned over by a damned old train!!!

And Ill hang around as long as you will let me.
And I never minded standin in the rain.
You don't have to call me darlin'. DARLINNNN'
You never even call me...
I wonder why you don't call me...
Why don't you ever call me by my name?"

or COTTON EYE JOE!!!!

talk about a good crazydrunk song! if you had a bunch of drunk people in a room in college station and played this song, the results would be insane! im sure you'd see atleast 3 pairs of titties. haha.
but maybe thats just because everyone here thinks they are a cowboy with their cowboy hats and big trucks n ****.

Most of the songs on Metallica's first 2 albums are rarely heard now adays. That's some good stuff.
