Angry license suspended

the bastard judge decided to take my license for 6 months, so i was wondering what to do about my car. should i just let it sit there, or have someone take it around the block every once in a while or what?

Not sure how florida works, but when I lost mine a long time ago in NY, I just applied for a temporary "to work and school only" license...and just don't get caught driving during any other time.

If not, as long as you start it every so often it should be alright. Whenever I stored mine, I would start it and let it run for 10-15 mins once a week just to keep things cycled and charged.

well, if u got ur license suspended, you probably did do something wrong...

I'd ask about those temporary work/school licenses if I were you. I'm pretty sure Alabama has that too. Never had to worry about it though.

was making a right turn at a red light and didnt stop completely... ahole state trooper said i took it at 35 and wrote me a ticket for reckless driving.. then talked to the judge before the hearing thing and advised him to suspend my license instead of fining me.. have to do 60 hours of community service too

O...that sucks...I dunno why people don't just stop..I'm in the process of getting my friend out of rolling through a stop sign lol. Yeh, but troopers can be asses. But damn...it's wreckless driving to take a turn at 35? I do it all the time...in front of cops...

yeah, if it was local cops i wouldnt have gotten a ticket... hell they wouldnt even have pulled me. the thing was tho i wasnt even going 35... i slowed down to about 15 before i turned.. and i found out that to get the temporary work/school license you have to have been convicted of a dui.. so im sol until may

so this guy just lied in court against you? You know... if you could prove that taking the corner at 35 isn't exactly possible, as in, it's a sharp corner.. you could probably get out of the ticket. Was it wet out at all? That'd help a lot. I'm assuming it was a decently large turn. What you could do, is have a friend take it at 35, and kinda turn late into the turn, but try to recover quickly, making it a sharper turn than it actually is... which would make his tires squeel... and if the officer didn't say anything about tires squeeling around the corner... you'd be ok... maybe you could get some evidence like that. Physics could also be your friend here... We did problems like this.. the ''stickiness'' of the tires, and weight of the vehicle and all that.. and see how fast they'd have to take a turn to lose control and slide.

2: well I would just take it as it is, wrong or right, there is a slim to non chance that u would win this one,. even if you "took a friend" 35 or 15 both can be RD, but the cost to go to court is to much,,,

You could have presented this evidence when you first went to court. It would take an appearance in appelate court now to do anything about it. A wreckless driving on your record is worst than a DUI however...so It'd be worth it for me.

Yeah but 35 through a red light is a little different than just a 35 mile an hour right turn, but 6 months is pretty steep.

yeah.. i was just happy they didint fine me anything... could've been up to 500, plus 130 for court costs. and if i'd plead not guilty, id still prolly get screwed over. this way i get to keep money, and the extra money i save instead of buying gas will go to some new parts for my stang

all I was saying is that the license wouldn't get taken away for as long.. plus, he coudl get it dismissed if it's proven the cop was inflating the truth
