Got another ticket.....

Got pulled over for turning on a yellow light or something like that. This is like my second ticket within a month...the other one was for having green bulbs illuminate my license plate (stupidest ticket EVER).

The cop said that he recognized my car too. Guess that can't be too good.

I'm glad I work where I do....otherwise, I'd be a broke ######.

Turning on a yellow light? Missouri cops must be dumbasses and have nothing better to do.

Yep pretty much. Probably just looking for a reason to pull me over. After I told him that we have had several tickets come into my work, he asked where I worked, then he started being nice to me but said he still had to give me the ticket.

my roommate and i were coming back from walmart at 1 or 2 in the morning, and a cop gave him a ticket for an illegal u turn. it was a small side road, not even a regular 4 lane, 40 mph zone.

i got one not too long ago for 79 in a 70.
i have gotten away with a 62 in a 40! (i was young, i was stupid. did i mention stupid?)

Take that one to court, say they pulled you over just because they recognzed your car and you had gotten a ticket before. Where do you work?

No need to go to court. My boss will just get it dismissed for me. I work for an attorney. And we happen to be like one of those "traffic law center" type places that gets tickets amended to non-point violations. Still just pisses me off that the cop said he recognized my car. I just wonder if they are going to give me a hard time all the time now.

Yeah Missouri's traffic laws suck. Guess my job has good benefits though.

i dont mind cops besides what they do for traffic laws... i just think some of the tickets they give out are rediculous... honestly, whats the big deal if there green bulbs there instead of white? theres really no reason that someone should be ticketed for that. Also, i think its rediculous how some stats require front plates... i paid a grand for my front end and didnt want to drill holes in it... 4 tickets later i gave in

Some cops are dicks tho. I know alot of cops that are great people and love their job because they can make a difference. But then I know alot who are complete asses and abuse their power

Cops suck. Case closed. Acctually most all the traffic laws on the books are pretty retarded. I'll admit that cops CAN be cool, but the great majority aren't. I have met 1 cop in my entire life that didn't suck (IA State troopers excluded because THEY are actually helpful) and he got fired for not writing enough tickets. He worked in a town pop. 2000 or so. They should change their motto though.
To serve and protect my ***. To serve and collect is more like it. Court sumons' and trafic tickets are pretty much all they do. They are revenue collectors pure and simple. I used to think cops were cool and did a noble job... Then I met some of them. Personally I'd rather everyone had guns and there were no cops because I trust the criminals WAY more than the "law"

My neighbor is a Cal Highway Patrol. I've known him since I was 10. He has 4 sons, and 5 Classic Stangs... so needless to say, He's pretty cool with me. he writes off tickets for me too, free of charge . Deffinatally a cool cop.

Holy ####. I got pulled over AGAIN today on my way home to lunch. Cop said "I've seen your car around"....can't they just leave me alone!!! He gave me a ticket for 51/35....yes, I was speeding, I won't deny it. I was going downhill. But still, I'm wondering if they are going to be pulling me over everyday.

I guess I just need to learn how to drive.

I have a radar detector sitting at home, but my cigarette lighter plugs don't work for some reason. The fuse isn't bad...we just could never figure out what was wrong with it. I know that you can wire the radar detector into something else, but I dunno how.

heres most peoples problem with this issue, and i dont want to offend anyone but here i go.

most peoples only experience with cops is this: they want to take my money and my car.

I dont know about you, but a cop never saved me from a crime, or found someone who hurt me or anyone i know. The cops do such a good job keeping us protected from real crime that we are isolated from it.

now on the other hand, we are forced to live in fear, that although we are "good" people, we will pe punished for driving faster than the redicuously low speed limits (in some areas).

of course we dont like this idea. I dont like it. Because i know going 55 on a 4 lane interstate with a median is wasting my time. . .

now you have to ask your self this interesting question:

who should decide what the speed limit should be?
an engineer?
a politician?
or the people who drive on them?

this is america right?

so imo the people should decide what teh limit should be. and if the people decided to let an politician decide well thats the peoples choice. . . but where i am from the people decide to go 85 in a 70mph zone on I75. But the people arnt alowed to make the law.

my 2 cents
